Diablo 2 were dark days of gaming indeed. Middle of high school, 3 am bed time, sometimes later...sometimes 5 days in a row...yeah that game was my first real grinding experience in a game. Playing in the dark ( playing a very dark game ) could not have been good for my eyes. I personally welcome the brighter colour palette of D3...it will make the grinding easier on the eyes.

The Diablo series has always been a PC exclusive. Therefore, anyone who has any interest in the series will have played it ON PC. Which means that for the most part, Diablo fans are a generation older than the majority of console gamers this gen, who are allergic to PC gaming.
Also, if you have played the other 2 on PC, you would know that the gameplay lends itself to a keyboard and mouse.

There is no justification for a higher price on console's, it's all about the gullibility of console users. You have like 25 million XBL users paying $50 a year because they were told it's good value. True, well the Witcher 2 is likely going to come to console's, I don't think the first Witcher will, but it sounds like they are designing it so it can be played without having played the first, if it does come to console's pick that sucker up. I love RPG's, and I get drawn into grinding...but not because it is necessarily good, it is part and parcel with RPG gameplay. But there has to be a better way. I think grinding in RPG's is like pre rendered cinematics...it's a result of lazy story telling. They can integrate many separate gameplay elements into the story to make it less tedious.
