I agree that games tend to target males, but I don't think massive formula changes are needed to make them attract both sexes, a few more female leads, maybe extra game modes which cater more to them...
I just remember back in the day my sister ( who is a girly girl ) would play fighting games and mario with me etc...now I hardly see any female gamers.

Sounds to me like it's you who doesn't like getting their ass kicked in games. In my experience girls are fairly intuitive with different games and learn how to play fairly quickly.
I think if games had more female characters maybe more female gamers would play. I don't think too many would see themselves resembled in the Master Chiefs or Psychos of the gaming world...
In the boss fight on the boat..where you had to use the targeting laser thing....I swear I've never come to close to breaking my TV than watching her stand there...they didn't program A.I for her to attack the boss...she would stand there using her ammo on pointless minions while I took a beating... *pulls hair out*

I always play single player games. The only MP I like playing is vs. bots in UT3. Socialising and gaming are 2 separate things for me and I like it that way, gaming is escapism, it's hard to get into it when you have someone else there.

Crysis 2 is 720p @30 frames on both consoles...something some PS3 exclusives can't even claim... yet they have it running that smooth on both @ it's insane level of detail.
On top of that they have 3d running on 3 platforms.

I think all the Crysis 2 footage so far has looked amazing. I guess the poor language conversion of the article has something to do with the overstatement in the title and the article. I'm sure it will look great on all platforms, my main concern is not how it looks, it's a given that it will look great...I want to know how it runs...
The article suggested 60 frame @1200p with 4aa maxed in dx9...I wonder how it runs in DX11...

The same is true of all lists of games for all platforms. Not all games appeal to all people. The marketing people are trying...but not succeeding in that department. Call of Barbie Dream House of Kombat is due out next year though, maybe things will change.
But the list proves that the lack of diversity argument is B.S. Which is why you cannot possibly like them all, too many niche games...which is a positive thing for PC.
The gameplay looks awesome, but that pseudo xray B.S is horrible. It makes the game look cheap. I hope they get rid of it before launch...

DICE already announced that the BF3 engine would not even support DX9 or 32bit OS's....what does that tell you...no console version.
