What's an outside?
This is a gaming drought. I'm playing Torchlight and Heroes of Might and Magic 5, seriously, not in the mood for shooters or another tedious RPG just now.
I played both Bioshock's back to back when I was bored a few weeks ago.
Hurry up Q1, I'm over 2010.
I strongly disagree. N64 or possibly SNES was the greatest generation for gaming.
Only possible with the power of teh cell...wait a minute.
It always was a pretty hardcore RPG.
Type weaknesses, special effects ( ground can't effect flying, electric doesn't effect ground ).
Then you have the move's couples with move types ( if a move type is the same type as your pokemon it gets +50% damage ).
There are moves that use the physical attack stat, and some that use the special attack stat....sleep, paralyse...
The whole battle system is awesomely complex....
Sony stand to make a profit in the selling of the technology, game developers do not. We in the real world call that extreme bias 'marketing hype'.
"You'll have a better feeling using Pokémon you like, and not Pokémon you need"
Amen. Pokemon tends to make people stat whores...I would prefer it if they toned down the legendaries and beefed up some of the normal units.
There are a lot of cool concepts they have used for pokemon but when you get into it, you look at a pokemon and if it has more than say 3 weaknesses, that usually crosses it off the list for me.

He'll be too busy covering up civilian deaths at the hands of U.K troops to play it....
Read the article.
""better than on PC with mouse and keyboard because you can play on a couch, really relaxed, and you don't have to get close to your screen, and you don't have to make large movements"."
Both points are B.S. ANY PC can connect to a TV.
you can buy a mouse with 5600dpi accuracy...when you move the mouse 1 inch, it moves the cursor 5600 pixels across, move wouldn't even be 1/10th as accurate. ...
"better than on PC with mouse and keyboard because you can play on a couch, really relaxed, and you don't have to get close to your screen, and you don't have to make large movements"
1. I am typing this from my PC...in front of my 40" bravia, from my couch.
2."and you don't have to make large movements"
My mouse is 3500dpi, I move my mouse 1 inch, it moves the cursor 3500pixels across, i'd like to see...
Yes because it is a double standard, they don't have problems with violent movies or violent games that portray anyone but them as the 'bad guys'.
I don't care if i'm the last gamer on the planet who buys a 3d TV. I have no interest in it at all. Frame rates and image quality are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead of 3D for me. I'm not willing to sacrifice any performance or visual quality for a migraine.
My mistake then, and I apologize. I have been told so many times recently:
"MLAA is better than 16MSAA AHAHA" etc etc. I just thought it needed to be said that it's superiority comes from it's ability to make use of the Cell for the GPU's shortcomings on the consoles, rather than superior image quality which some people are 100% convinced of.
agree + bubbles
I hope what they mean by 'no ridiculous DRM' they actually mean NO DRM AT ALL.
Any online connection requirement is B.S.
Steam doesn't count as an excuse either because every steam integrated game has been pirated as well.
NOTHING WORKS. So just think of the customers you do have and make it easy for them.
I an glad we can agree for once.
Everyone should be able to enjoy the Witcher 2. I personally don't think that a game going multiplat necessarily effects the quality so I wouldn't mind one bit if it did. There is no question as to the gameplay quality of the witcher 2 because if the first game is anything to go by, it will be amazing. But the proof is in the footage we have seen so far, it looks to be the best RPG I have ever seen so I have no concerns about it fallin...
I can't F-ing wait, hopefully nintendo will keep up full B.S next gen with gamecube and wii games. Zelda OoT upscaled would be a dream come true.
Also next gen...there better be a god damn full 3d pokemon game...
You have misinterpreted the article.
It does not say that MLAA is the equivalent of 16MSAA, it simply says that it can be done without the performance hit of MSAA because it is done on the spu's, therefore they can use higher levels of AA than would be possible on the console's GPUs, PC does not have this problem, so MLAA is in no way superior, it is just more efficient on console's. The difference between no aa and 32aa in RE5 for me is about 5 frames difference,...
q1, I think march specifically, could be wrong.
That's pretty lame, the DLC that unlocked the post ending of FO3 was the best design choice in a game in a long time...You don't put 100hrs into a game for it to be cut off.
Yeah I don't get the majority of complaints about game crashes. The only games I've ever had crash on me are sacred 2 and Fallout 3, 2 horribly optimised rpg's...
A lot of PC games don't even need patches, RE5, DMC4, SFIV, Dead Space...I can go on forever with games that never received a patch and never needed one.
