i've never played gears but i know the reason it stopped working, there was a game glitch and the 'digital signature' of the game expired about a year ago making the game unplayable, they released a patch to fix it.....oops i guess. Well that's good that you still game on it, but considering xp doesn't have proper multi core support it would be wise to upgrade eventually if your serious about gaming
i respectfully disagree, i wasn't hyped at all about it. I saw the in-game-engine trailers and thought it looked like crap and that it was a cheap lotr rip off, and as time went on i saw trailers of the pc version, and now i'm more hyped for this than mass effect 2 ( and i'm really hyped for that), the graphics look really cool, most of the skills and leveling up systems have been revealed and it looks to be amazing. They have free dlc etc with the game too, not too shabby
for once a game gets hyped around release time, instead of 12 months pre maturely ala starcraft 2, not long now, can't wait
you musn't play games on your pc then, dx9 was old when the ps3/360 came out, now dx11 is coming out, you'll need to upgrade sometime

i haven't even seen any dx screens yet, i thought tesselation was just a more effective way to render etc, aka dx11 is a faster miore efficient dx10...

DLC you broke my heart, expansions FTW.....except 'sims' expansions, the concept of multiple expansions is as bad or worse, why don't they wait 6 or 12 months then come out with a significant amount of extra content, all these dlc fee's are hefty

There is no other game that i can say that from the moment i installed it i was disappointed, i KNEW as soon as the game started that it was crap. I got it on pc, and not only was the installation a piece of $#!+, (you have to be online to play it with a third party program...a single player game), but the graphics were TERRIBLE, the character models were ps2 era, even with everything absolutely cranked it looked like a ps2 game, and as to why it ran badly even though i have a good pc....it m...
I have a DS and a DSI, i've owned every nintendo handheld ever made....they have lost interest for me also, i have a few decent ds rpg's, but what's the point, they are all ported ps1 games etc. Why don't the devs get of their asses, push the ds to it's graphical limits and make some decent friggin games. We all know the DS is more powerful than the n64 was, why don't they make another 3d mario game, or a full 3d zelda game, not this pseudo 3d crap cough pokemon cough
motion control is lame, games are not about being uncomfortable and flailing about, you sit the F down, and play the god damn game. Not quick time events that make you twitch the control 100 times a second in order to get something to happen
