again, buying pc games in no way supports microsoft, you are an idiot.
what the hell are you smoking, you think microsoft somehow gets money when you but a pc game?, they have no hand in pc gaming as of now. They get money when you buy your OS, and that's the only thing from microsoft i buy, every game i buy is B.S free, and $10 cheaper than the console variants.

that argument has been proven time and time again, you want a pc that can play games at 720p at 30frames a second with 2* or less AA???, you got $300 bucks, i'll hook you up, it might even look better. Let's also not forget that pc's do alot more than play games.
of course they are, but i only half care, they are giving the pc hardware a chance to catch up, in about 2 years time, there will be gpu's that can handle any game, even the best current games, at 1080p with 16qaa ( even crysis), and anyone who thinks that's a bad thing is insane, sure it would be all well and good to have the 'potential' to have better graphics in games, but if the games had progressed as far as pc hardware has in the last few years....we'd still have the setting turned down...
I found this article very interesting so i thought i'd share.
The PCI-E 2.0 lanes in the 1156 (p55) motherboards is split between multiple cards, the difference between 2.0 16* and 2.0 8* is only 2% even with the current fastest gpu. So anyone that didn't want to get a 1156 motherboard or an Intel i7-8** for this reason doesn't have to worry, i'd say that 2% is a worthwhile trade of for a cheaper cpu+ motherboard...you could put that money into...well...another gpu :D

Grpahics don't make a game enjoyable, but it's a nice addition, i think it sucks that aloty of developers think that they can just do a weak graphics game and get away with it though. The bar has been raised and some people just aren't willing to put the effort in to keep up, infinity ward for example, they did the hard yards back in the day, and now they think they've earned our money for anything they put out, regardless of how little effort they put in.
1080p needs to be stand...
2009 wasn't the best year for pc gaming, but 2010 is looking to be amazing, lots more superior version multiplats, and alot of great exclusives
I've bought almost no pc games this year, and the games that i did buy were older games, eg. bioshock. I've had so many to keep me going though, Dragon Age comes in a week, Mass Effect 2 in January, Bioshock 2 in Feb or March...it's gonna be a good year. Starcraft 2 of course being the jewel in the pc gaming crown, can't wait to get it, ...
I don't know why people shop at gamestop ( in aus it's EB games), GAME has way cheaper prices ( when you buy on the net) and as far as i know they always have free shipping. I had only ever seen game's in store prices which are unusually high, but the net prices are off the hizzle.
