I've never played the battlefield series, but as a pc gamer i gotta support the companies that show us love, it's never too late to start

I don't know if negative feedback can be accumulated into the negative, so that it takes longer to gain bubbles...but you will forever have only one either way my friend

This game is not worth $5, i have seen it played, it is monotonous crap, maybe it sounded good on paper, but there sure isn't alot going on in game

that's my plan, upgrade my pc, use my pc parts to build another one for the mrs

This is one developer, when this first came out, an interviewer asked many companies that have used steam about whether they get value etc, and they all said that they made a **** load of money thanks to valve

6008d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I could have sworn we already had this article. But anyway, many devs spoke highly of valve and steam. I think gearbox is just butt hurt that they don't have their own digital distribution service, they saw how successful steam was and wanted a bigger slice.

EDIT: like mcgrawgamer said

whoa, hold up there cowboy!

"visual computing leadership" ???

They have a slight headstart on dx11...but considering there are no dx11 games i wouldn't call it a headstart at all...more like premature ejaculation.

recent benchmarks i saw on either toms hardware or benchmark reviews.

crysis warhead 1680*1050 dx10 enthusiast with 4aa

5870= 27 frames

gtx285: 21 frames

That's ATI's 'flagship' card...

I was apprehensive at first about adopting, with all the talk of possible upcoming new compression techniques etc, i thought maybe a new disk format

(essentially the same as blu-ray but not compatible...and no i'm not talking about the larger blu-ray disks, i know a firmware should suffice)

But i picked up a delicious 32" HDTV and a samsung blu-ray. Blu ray has helped my spending habits as they are still more expensive here in aus, any movies worth getting, i g...

autofire believes that all all the cores can combine and process a single thread, he things a 3ghz quad core is a 12ghz processor...that just isn't true. To say that it's the same or almost the same is an exaggeration, any program optimised for a single core will not run any faster on a dual core, and any program optimised specifically for a dual core ( but no more cores) will not gain anything from a quad core), whereas a clock speed increase will increase performance regardless of multi cor...

BAHAHA, evil corporations are evil, I don't think they have as much of a defence against the anti-trust lawsuit anymore now that the top brass are being whisked away due to insider trading and such

"The advent of the GPU is really the next big frontier for us. We have seen hundreds of times improvements over the last few months. This is taking Moore's Law out the window"

There you go autofire. ( he believes moore's law has not been broken yet.....and that a dual core 2.2ghz processor= 4.4ghz) giggle giggle

This is supposed to be the reason why the i9 clocks are so low, 6 cores= more volts= more heat, hopefully they can get it down, i reeeeeally want one, but if they are indeed 2.4ghz theres no way in hell, intel should have just gone for the throad and gone straight to 22nm, screw all these side variant chips, they need to make quads standard, stop producing dual cores all together, it would be better for gamers/buisnesses, pc's in general

I misread the title at first i thought it said 'slightly obese', and i watched it and thought, no F-ing wonder women have weight issues if people think that person is fat

Just thought i'd do a quick bench to compare my setup,

Their setup, 6gig ddr3, i7 920, gtx285 ( i compared mine to this as i have a gtx280...wanted to know if my pc was performing right)

my setup: c2q 9450, 4gig ddr2, gtx280, and i beat their gaming benchmarks and 3d mark gpu score

haha @ suckers that spent all that money 'upgrading' for a decrease in performance

6008d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

cureent gpu memory speed is well over 1000mhz, ( double data rate meaning over 2000hmz effective), 700 would be a massive downgrade

what happened to pc gaming?, i'm about to eat my face in excitement for dragon age, mass effect 2, starcraft 2, dead space 2, crysis 2, diablo 3, aliens vs predator, bioshock 2 and so on, pc gaming is going strong

i'm sure nvidia etc won't go back up in NM to 54 nanometers just for these chips, the 7ghz thing made me slightly aroused though...

they have not reinstated it, mine is still blocked, and thanks god

6009d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

thanks for the support, people really are tools, and like you said, it's less of a burden on valve, and more freedom for the players, and again, like you said, valve actually does give a ****, unlike many others, valve and stardock are great, both great devs/publishers, both support digital distribution ( with steam and impulse) and NO DRM!, and they support their fanbase, can't ask for much more.

Should have spent your time making dead space 2...

The head guy from 'visceral games' has jumped ship now so who knows what will happen

@micro_invader , not long ago, 2 months maybe, glen shoefield i think his name was, he was the main guy behind dead space, Lead producer/designer...that fact that he bailed makes me fear for what will happen to the second one. He was always going on about how he was excited about the new franchise and the direction of the buisness......
