@ddk minecraft was windows and 360 exclusive for years.... you kind of just made your own point moot.

Um .... the majority of minecraft sales are on PC and xbox devices. Not to mention only recently being introduced to PS devices. Not to mention this deal will not affect minecraft as it stands today anyway. Just because MS aquires minecraft doesn't make 4j nonexistent. (Future minecraft games/ other project, well I would assume exclusivity) Not to mention the most illogical part of this .... MS aquiring minecraft certainly should not effect the popularity. People aren't going to like ...

Yea, because apparently obtaining 3rd party studios is unfair right?

So nintendo is the only one fighting fair right? Or do naughtydog, bend, sucker punch, evolution, etc not count?

Don't get me wrong I find no issue with existing development studios being aquired by any company, but if we are to go by this authors excellent premise I smell a pile of hypocrisy.

While I wholly disagree with the purchase, to say "Bad For The Gaming Industry" is just pure fanaticism. Was it also bad when Sony bought naughty dog? Bend? Evolution? Sucker punch? Etc.

I absolutely think MS should not waste their money, but that is because I would prefer them to use the money across larger spans, not on one VERY SMALL dev team. I definitely do not find this any different than any other 3rd party studio aquisition, ever.

Why? It won't change the fact that minecraft is available to all platforms, and honestly what (other than minecraft) do they have to offer?

Would be absolutely pointless for MS to buy them as far as I can tell.

EDIT: @concertine I agree that is my issue with this. MS could take that 2B and spend it across multiple high quality projects/studios, 2B JUST for mojang is terrible. That said, the people whining about MS buying mojang are hypocritical fanboys, c...

Yea, I like that they don't have 45 of the same car and rehashed cars from prior games, those kinds of things defeat the purpose of a new release.

Everything about this game has me excited.

Yea, totally not even close to halo, based on what I played. Pretty sure it's just a marketing statement.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say call of duty still has that one covered, however not extremely excited for either. There are definitely games more deserving of those kinds of sales numbers.

Yea, the guy in the interview makes no sense. I think he is trying to say with DX12 the dev/programmer is responsible for allocating resources properly, where as with prior dx versions you could have the program do it for you.

It is going to be more difficult, does that change that it allows for better production?

What is a shame is that it this entire article is fabricated.... been using it no issues at all. As well as 2 of my friends who have as well. Also, who cares, it is a game console and you could just watch it on ... your tv.

EDIT: they assume because it said "limited" on this page, (linked below and on the article) that it referred to the NFL app, then...

Wow, what a flamebait article title, excellent points within the article though, I expect psn and xbl to have issues to some extent. Definitely more confident in xbl for 2 reasons though, fewer users, more servers.

@ritchie no the content is pretty fair, I was just referring the titlebeing flamebait. There is no question these are valid concerns.

Are you guys insane? This is just recerring to PREORDERS from ONE retailer who only covers about 2% of thr chinese population.... try reading once and a while. That is pretty impressive, also, lots of people, but a pretty small proportion (compared to somewhere like say, USA) who can afford it.

Yea, honestly for me I was pretty unimpressed. It was a good game, but definitely didn't strike me as amazing. I played it for the first time on my PS4, so maybe it lost something in translation, IDK. I didn't like how it played (and for me that is most important) it felt heavy and clunky. The story was great, atmosphere great, but there are movies for that.

Definitely like uncharted better.

I just wonder if it is a digital or physical copy.... still don't know.

PAX was pretty slim, (especually as far as showing anything new) but right after at Sony's pre-TGS show, Hot shots and persona 5 got me the most excited. Love both those series.

@enemy hence saying "but right after"... PAX seemed pretty weak to me, plus most of those were already announced/shown way before pax.

Sounds like a winner to me, would really like to see where this goes for MS. Hope it continues.

Same here pissed it's been so long, but the day it comes out, I'll be picking it up with a sub.

EDIT: To be clear I mean subscription.

It's the same layout as almost every device, PS4 included. But it definitely is a step dow from the old view. Don't get me wrong, the old view wasn't perfect, but this new view is terrible.

EDIT: @infected to each his own

The better question? Will people always feel the need to worry about sales numbers of a product they own no stake in? As long as the manufacturer continues to support their platform why should sales figures matter? Certainly they shouldn't be an argument for a console....
