People like you clearly don't understand that scores largely reflect their sales. (I am sure you will point out some outlandish exception to that fact) Hence, when there is a game that could potentially flop or not recieve a sequel due to a "score," there is reason to "care."
Yea, it is hard to even take this review seriously after horizon 2"s review. What I find funny is how the same criticisms he had with one he completely ignores (and then some) with the other.
IMO, sites like this are why metacritic are broken. No way should this site (and a few others as well) be included.

Gears of war is probably one of my favorite franchises out there, would love a remaster of all the games. (Would be nowhere near as great as halo MCC though) That said, I am really excited for the new game as well, really hope it is nothing like judgement.
I'll probably buy it, never got to play it on 360 as I was busy with other games when it came out, and never got around to playing it later. Looking forward to it, hope it is as good as ehat I have heard.

Yea, this article is pretty slim on facts, especially after claiming it is the "real" reason. Their reason isn't even really a good one, I highly doubt their backend profit on 1 year old games is very much.
That aside, IMO Sony made the wrong choice not allowing ea access, it is such a great value. Also, if you don't like it, well you don't have to buy it. Not a fan of platform holders restricting choice.

I don't like polygon and I won't support them with a click, but I do agree that a "social racer" that has an online component that still doesn't work is worth an updated review. I feel bad for people who paid in full for the game, you would think after 1 year to "work on the social features" that they would work. Sent back to gamefly for now.

Too bad you math is wrong. Pixel count is the wrong comparison to make. (Unless you are just a blind fanboy pushing an agenda) resolution, as well as almost ALL visual assets, is affected by the law of diminishing returns. Ignoring that doesn't make it reality
First, we already know the human eye can much more easily distinguish 720p-900p than 900p (not to mention the upscaler on ALL games) to 1080p. The more dense the pixels are at the lower end the bigger impact it has....

OT: As someone who didn't like dark souls, I really think this game looks pretty good. Love that it is faster pace andseems to have a more varied range of attacks. (Range in terms of distance I mean)
The issue was fixed for ALL (or very close to all) but the preview members after about 20 minutes. For those that were preview members (myself included) the friends list worked fine most of the time you just had to snap friends or fully open it. Not to mention that is the point of the preview program, to test software, it says specifically that things like this may happen. For me I find it worth it as I get all the great features early.

@aceitman I hear you, clearly not every person will love this game, I was just joking about the fact that literally EVERY xbox exclusive so far you have been the first person to comment and always display disinterest. If you aren't interested why click? So far you have "not been feeling" (and commented about such) for ryse, dr3, forza horizon2, forza 5, and titanfall. (And have praised certain other games) I was just sarcastically pointing that out.

OT: This game is insane, reminds me a lot of ratchet and clank meets JSR and that is a good thing to me. I just hope they have meaningful missions and that campaign isn't just kill wash repeat. As ling as the SP is rewarding and in depth (as insomniac games usually are) I cannot wait.
