@shin I know it is starting to get really annoying. Ever since xbox started giving away games for free it has been down almost as much as PSN. (Which is WAYY too often) Guess the days of getting amazing online networks from MS is over now that they decided to waste their money on free games I don't even want anyway.
Was fine up until about 4 minutes ago. Won't "sync data" for call of duty, and took 2 tries for halo mcc. Everything else seems fine for me.
EDIT: friends list just went away.
It's as far away from being COD as a shooter can be. Idk how adding sprint (been there since reach) and changing the zoom animation somehow makes it cod....
Even more ironic is those miniscule similarities make them clones but certain other games in the same genre with much more in common "can't be compared?"

Why? Maybe because sony is offering them a way to make money off their IP and has a large player base. Since sony obviously isn't allowing ea access any time soon,why would EA pass up this? Only makes sense if you think businesses run based on personal vendettas rather than bottom line.
Would EA prefer access? Absolutely.
Would EA pass up an income opportunity because they are still sulking about EA access being denied? Hell no.

Yea, not sure how halo 2 completely rehauled, plus 1, 3 and 4 up res'ed and @ 60fps, PLUS all the multiplayer maps, plus halo nightfall, plus halo 5 beta is not worth 60$ ... especially compared to other "remasters" that were basically just straight ports. But to each their own I suppose.
I haven't had a single issue since 6am thia morning. Matchmaking for halo was down prior to that, but coop and cuatom games were fine. Not a singlw person on my friends list is having any issues.

Coop, campaign and custom games are all up fine, pretty sure every major game has issues within the first 24 hours of launch. From COD to GTA to TLOU remaster to titanfall etc etc etc.
Honestly though, the game has been working fine outside US since launch (played with aussies and brits last night) and seems to be fin...
What I love is halo has matchmaking (custom games and coop are fine) issues for less than 12 hours and it is suddenly equal to driveclub which was fully down for 2 week and still has major issues to this date .... makes sense.
Pretty much every BIG game has aches for the first 24 hours, like tlou remastered, titanfall, cod, etc.
It's all up now anyway.
Honestly, it doesn't matter as better graphics aren't going to make this game a better game. I have been pretty disappointed in it, black flag was better.
That has been up since 11/8 and has not yet gone down, it was up at 12pm this afternoon also, well before release. Not sure why as it clearly isn't down.
Again though, you have provided no evidence of "server struggle" on this situation just matchmaking issues. People are clearly playing and custom games are working. Also, MS or 343 have not reported it, so until then making up reason why is not the correct procedure.

Total install size, most people are bringing the disc home as of 12pm local time... it's about 17GB patch.
Pretty large assumption to say that it is server issues considering it is not even globally launvhed yet and there are a huge amount of playlist, many peiple have to download a 60gb patch, etc. Most likely just not many players have the game up and ready yet it is only the east coast really so far.
Also, those other mode are not matchmaking...

Reminds me a lot of halo 2 personally, and as someone who played hundreds of hours of halo 2 MP I think I have the right to an opinion on the matter. Didn't say you have to agree.
Obviously they are different games, but I can clearly see the life force of halo 2 MP shine through, and that is VERY important for me.
Yea, my expectations for halo games are really high, and this went above and beyond, for me at least. Soo happy it wasn't another halo 4 in term of MP. (Halo 4 campaign was pretty great though)

Frankly, this mode sounds terrible. I will stick with TDM, oddball and CTF. Not a fan of modes that promote camping, certainly not in halo. I am however happy at how amazing this game is shaping up, just not this mode.
@Yarbie it's not fully back up, party chat and friends list are still acting a little funky. luckily it was only "down" for an hour or so, still extremely annoying how frequent it is becoming.
