This game really has me excited. I would have really loved turn-based jrpg (like ffx) but this actually looks fun. Also, the stark contrast of environments, characters and monsters really seems cool. I honestly think this might be the first final fantasy I buy in quite a while.
@cinderella it is funny how you ignore what the reviewers says and just create your own propoganda train. You harp on two issues as if they are the main issues, when in reality most reviewers had no issue with length or linearity at all. In fact, IGN went as far as to post a few articles that length IS not an issue and they prefer short games. Yet they reviewed at a 6.5/10, not because of length, but because of gameplay.
Most reviewers across the board agree that

Yea, idk since when terrible gameplay is defended so blindly. Over half of the game is literal walking or cutscene. The boss fights, that are exactly the same, (not a single difference) literally consist of walking in a circle and pressing the right stick When it pops on screen. The blimp and mansion consist of waliing behind midless drone ai that never hear any noise and press triangle at the exact right time. The gunplay is decent. Any time you miss a button prompt everything starts all ove...
Loads of gameplay elements, sure, all games do. Well executed gameplay no. Uncharted on the other hand had great gameplay, story quality, graphics, etc.
The order mainly consisted of cutscenes or walking. The knife fights with the werewolves are terrible and consist of following on-screen promts. There is stealth in the blimp and near the end (don't want to spoil) that is just walk up behind this guy and hit triangle at the right time. The gunplay is decent.
OMG these sensationalist articles attempting to defend the order are just getting ridiculous. Linear games are fine. Short games are fine. Short, linear games with little real gameplay, uninspired gameplay and lack of control over the characters are not.
Noone is saying linear games suck, the order just wasn't that great of a game. (And the reviews reflect that) This article is putting forth a notion that noone has claimed. Linear games have their place, the order was one...
@ziggur How would you possibly know the framerate at E3 when all the streams were capped @ 30fps? Can you see beyond video players capabilities? They specifically released this "separate" version so that it was not compressed and running at 60fps.... Also the 1080p 60fps uncompressed download is that same footage, not altered....
"**why don’t you watch the high quality 1080p60 trailer and see for yourself**"
"All footage you see in th...
Idk how much it will improve things overall, but great to hear it effects (for the greater) the gpu, cpu and memory capabilities for XB1.
The guy reviewing the game, just like any other reviewer Is a person that you don't personally know. You act as if you somehow know other reviewers anymore than this guy. Now as to his reliability or value of his opinions, those must be determined by you. I personally have no opinion one way or another.
@cayosh that seems like a valid deal. If they accept a lump sum for priority release (and not due to limitations) from sony then MS should think twice about allowing them to come to XB1. Especially when most will have contracts with Sony that don't allow such.
Then again, maybe MS should let Sony take the bill for dev costs and then have those devs release a port to their console at no cost to them.
They were just excited for tlou remastered, and obviously hyping it a bit. That is hardly a "promise" of uncharted 4's framerate.
They didn't promise, they just simply led people to believe it. They claimed the E3 trailer was 60fps running "in engine on PS4" and even released a 1080p 60fps uncompressed download. So it's not strange that people would assume the rest of the game would be too, otherwise why claim it was in engine on ps4?

Hmm, I could have sworn everyone said this was a "lie" and "impossible" and would require unheard of internet speeds...

I kid, I kid, but I am glad to see cloud compute being invested in by the major companies. MS, Nvidia, and google are all working on tech like this, and e...
Valient hearts is pretty good. A few sections will really make you think.
The reviews for this game are so polarizing. This has never happened for any game before. The 5' and 6's are clearly just trolls. This reviewer is one of the few to actually review this properly. Everyone else is just on the hate train This game has drummed up.
It was on PS2 as well... that said this is easily in my top 10 most anticipated games for 2015. As long as it is actually a full fledged remake and not done like the ffvii remake. FFX has always been my favorite and I look forward to playing it through again.
Dude, totally true. This would be an amazing tech showcase for holo lense, from building to riding.
This game is excellent, all the things this reviwer complains about aren't even real issues. He most likely just likes bro shooters. You just can't trust reviewers anymore, they just gave this a low score for hits. He ccomplains that the gameplay isn't that fun, but since when is gameplay so important? He complains about things in this game that never mark other games for.
The hate for this game is unreal, I have had nothing negative so far. Burnout mixed with rol...
@lamer "You can't "increase the pixel size". Todays displays are fixed pixel, they are always the same size. "
unfortunately, that is not true, point in case, the ability to change aspect ration despite a components output. You can have a 1080x1920 output changed to a 4:3 ratio on almost ANY tv. Now I did say VERY specifically "It m*MAY* increase the pixel size to fit the screens native resolution" as it is unlikely. (just giving him some ben...
Honestly, as with almost every game this gen, this game will look almost identical, but will be blown to an epic proportion by a certain group.
@gamename on your PC there is no upscaling, so it is not really comparable. That said, 900p may be noticable, but is not truly and inherently different. More importantly would be anti-aliasing, antistropic filtering, and other effects. In fact, a 1080p game with none of those things actually looks worse than an upscaled 900p version w...
I don't think I have heard all of this "fury" that this article claims. Seems like this author is just ttying to stir up trouble just to get hits.
