What makes it any consoles "year"? Sales? Games? Sales don't mean a console is good, and both Xbox and PS3 have had a nice share of great games this year. Stupid article.

I don't think it will be that short, at least, I hope not. My guess is 10-15 hours. But then quality>quantity, so as long as it's good as it looks, they can make it as short as they like :)
A lot of games are hyped to ridiculous amounts. Often they are still good, but are always slightly disappointing. Recent games like Gears 2, R2 and LBP are no exceptions. And neither will Killzone 2.
Confirmed by who? Some fanboy with a grand total of four braincells? There three different genres, and appeal to different people. In what respects do you claim Gears beats LBP + R2?

Yes reviews are opinion based. But would you buy a game because "it sold a lot"? I certainly wouldn't. I buy a game after checking out it's reviews and hearing good things about it, which guess what, are opinions. The reviewers put it in an unbiased light and score it to a criteria. Reviews don't mean you'll like a game. But you can read the review and make a decision from there,...

Uhh. The 360 was released a year before the PS3, and has consistently been a much lower price. And yet the sales gap is approx. 4m? Compare next years PS3 sales figures to this years Xbox figures (3 years on each console) and see what it says.
If MS were truly doing a better job, the RRoD wouldn't have happened (which only happened because of Microsoft's greed) and it would be giving the PS3 a right old kicking in terms of everything, sales, quality, features ect. and it doesn't...

Little Big Planet is outscoring every 360 exclusive on metacritic. But in your ignorance and stupidity, you are fooled into believing sales make a game good. No game will single handedly destroy a console either. Now, you can cry all you want, but the owners of both consoles are the winners here.

To be honest, if the highlight of the 360's lineup for 09 is Recon, an expansion pack, than it's not a very hot year for the Xbox. But, there are apparently several unannounced exclusives :)
