I think another point worth making is that Microsoft doesn't care what you play on, they just want you in the ecosystem. PC falls directly into their ecosystem, so PC players saying they don't need an Xbox to play Microsofts Games is true, but they can't deny they aren't a part of the ecosystem that Microsoft is trying to cater to. Its always been a part of Microsoft plan for PC players to get more support, now they are just executing on it instead of saying they will get su...
A bit worried about Far Cry after Far Cry 5, but genuinely excited to see what Assasins Creed is like since it sounds like they are doing a hybrid of bringing it back to its roots while still keeping the RPG elements.
Cool to be able to play it like this, but honestly a bit bummed fidelity mode can't be turned on at 60fps. Not a deal breaker by any means, but would be nice to take advantage of the new hardware, especially considering that this game is in the PS Collection List.
1989 Ninja Turtles are better than Ghostbusters ;). I totally agree with what you are saying. They are just pieces of plastic. And each one serves their own purpose for what they are. All of my buddies play their games on Xbox, so if i am playing online or playing third party games, i play my PC or Xbox. With my Playstation, no doubt, Sony has the upper hand on exclusives, and gamers need to buy one to play their extremely polished first party titles. That's generally how things go ...
@gamingsince1981, you are probably right, we just had magazines instead at the time, which were a bit less polarized.
Hahaha, right?! Its out of control. Gives the "gamer" stigma a bad name. I'll always be a gamer, but i have a different sort of respect for games because I grew up in what i consider to be the golden era starting for me with Atari and the NES. Getting to experience each console cycle up until now makes you look at things completely differently. There was so many more Console creators back in the day that even though console wars were still a thing, it wasn't as polarized...
Unfortunately i see people pumping their chest everyday on which plastic box is better. I mean, i never thought i would see the day where people were arguing over which console is X degrees cooler than the other. Or yet alone jizzing in their pants and screaming out loud about heat sync solutions. Its a crazy world. That will never change is my guess. LOL. I am just happy to see aspiring competition this time around in the console realm. Two companies doing completely different things w...
Man i miss the G4 days. Cool that it is coming back, even though i know it won't quite be the same without Morgan, Adam and Kevin Perriera. Those were the golden days. Used to watch Attack of the Show and XPlay religiously. On topic - fanboys will be fanboys though. I personally like not being one because all news is good news when you don't restrict yourself to one platform.
I love PlayStation man, but if they aren't paying you to be this hardcore of a fanboy, is it really worth it? I didn't see one thing in this video or any of the others you mentioned below that give a bad wrap to Sony. I think you would be a whole lot less worked up about these types of things if you just started loving games and not a single platform that isn't paying you to be that way. Now, on the other hand, if they are paying you good money to do this and are handing you ov...
This is truly impressive. Can't wait to have my 3090 on Tuesday!
This is a good step in the right direction for sure. P2P is much too insecure in 2020.
I have to agree. The most sensitive folks all seem to be fanboys. Glad i'm a gamer instead and can see outside of the fanboy bubble. I am a massive PlayStation, PC and Xbox fan, and i didn't see anything in this video that was biased. They highly praised the game and were able to break down some of the tech they were seeing in use, more than i can do, i appreciated it. I am always amazed at how well PlayStation Teams are at optimizing their games to run so well, while getting su...

Man, only think i don't really like in all of this is no usb C charging cable in box and that D-Pad all being one piece, which makes me think that you will get false positive input on the diagonals. I know we can buy our own.usb c cable, but the D-Pad thing could potentially be an issue. I'm sure Sony has it all figured out, but that is my first reaction.
Nice!!!!!! Not part of the twitter world, so this is great to see! Thanks for the link!
Hahaha. Yeah.... That is tradition for me sadly for any new console release cycle. I generally never take time off and have 180 hours of PTO, couldn't think of a better way to spend it during covid times.
Exciting times, these next two weeks of waiting will be over before we know it. It will be surreal to actually get what we have been waiting for and hearing about for the last year. Took a whole week off for console launch week just so i can relax, hermit, eat good food and play games. Super pumped! I do feel a bit guilty being 35 and still being as excited for game consoles as i was when I was 5 years old. I've unfortunately accepted the fact that I am a gamer for life and hope to sp...
I do truly agree. I haven't been this excited for a next gen consoles since the Xbox 360 era. I have been following all the news leading up to these consoles now for a year, listening to podcasts, going to websites, watching the showcases, reading fanboy wars back and forth. This has been a fun cycle, can't wait to get my hands on them, not to mention can't believe i was able to get a hold of a 3090 FTW3 Ultra yesterday. Times are bright even in the darkest of times. Hope ever...
Noticed that my account is actually processing my pre-order now, not sure if any of you have experienced the same thing.
I don't have any reason to be hyped for this game because I have often been disappointed with the Destiny Style games not having enough content, but for some really strange reason I am oddly pumped for this game the more news I see and hear about it.
