Please have upped resolution, refresh rate and be wireless. If they get all of that right, this could be a good buy. If they do that all correctly, this will not be cheap.
PSVR released as an oudated headset from day one. I tried it once after having played on my HTC Vive and would never go back. It was a nauseating experience, excellent price point for regular consumers, but a massive downgrade from what i was used to. I've taken a vacation week for the new consoles. Generally do this each new console release. I am usually taking the days off to wait in line to get mine though. This time i was fortunate enough to secure pre-orders for both. I prefer the pre-order method with Covid going on, but am going to miss waiting in line just because the energy and events happening in line are part of the whole experience for me.
Interesting, not really familiar with i-frames. Maybe that has been my issue with Souls games all along. When i watch let's plays, people make it look so simple. When i play its a completely different story lol.

Not going to lie, and people will downvote me to hell, but really excited for multiplayer on this game. I loved it in and outside of VR on PC and PS4.

I have all the souls games and Sekiro, but definitely got to points in each of those games where i got stuck and just stopped playing them. I really do want to learn to love these games, which is why i bought them all.
This is obvious, Sony has a much larger portion of the market in the rest of the world outside of North America. Its a brand people have recognized for years. Sony's market outside of the US has always been like this. Back in the day it used to be that Sony consoles would release around the rest of the world, first being in Japan, long before it would make its way to North America.

I think regardless of which console or consoles you get, we are going to see such high demand over this first year that you won't see them on store shelves for a long time. If i remember correctly when i bought my Nintendo Switch, i don't think i saw those on shelves up to a whole year after launch, and that was pre-pandemic. My guess is that this first year will be pretty baron hardware wise.
This game looks incredible. I have never been "gud" enough to make it through fromsoft games, but this type of immersion has me foaming from the mouth. Really hope I can have the patience to learn it and enjoy it. The visuals and attention to detail are incredible, so regardless it will at least be immersive. True, as long as its a locked 30 im fine with it for console. If i ever want to be guaranteed more frames, i just hop on my pc.
You get more ammo drops when you upgrade your skill tree. I believe once you upgrade your skill tree and use the chainsaw on enemies, they drop more health and ammo. Been quite some time since i beat the game, so i could be remembering incorrectly. About to restart the game on PC now that i got my 3090. I will see soon if my memory serves me correct on those ammo drops. I do know ammo drops are related to upgrading your skill tree and using your saw.
Lets hope this and the use of UE5 will net us games that run high resolution at 60fps.
Lets hope optimized games will get us to 4k 60fps instead of the 4K 30 we have been seeing so much of again on this new gen. I know its a big ask for consoles, as GPU's that are double the cost can still have issues reaching 60 with everything turned up.
My TV has HDR, but i feel like i can't really fully take advantage of it without something that does True Blacks like the LG OLED TV's do. Until i get one of those, it will really not make a huge difference :/
