It sounds like Miranda just admitted she was the one lock picking a door during a co-op firefight.

Easily the best graphics and gameplay of the original series (even though it was a PCF game) just the episodic storyline that let it down and the star choice thing was redundant as I always choose the more difficult option.

How about this:

"The remake is right to remove them, and if you're upset about that, you should know that a) it's not censorship, and b) you're a massive loser."

The author has got serious anger issues about pixels on a screen, imagine what she thinks about real issues in the real world.

That's a very low bar for "weirdo" behaviour, can think of a lot worse things out there that are actually harmful to others.

For it to be a conspiracy MS and Kotic had to be making secret insider deals. The truth more likely is MS saw the internals problems at Activision over the years and knew they would probably be at a good price to buy. Insider dealing if found out would be a legal nightmare for MS - very unlikely but makes a good story.

It would be horrible to see Activision a great company that has taken so many risks and been a leader in giving creative control to it's devs and supporting it's studios and employees again and again without fault over the years go in the exact opposite direction. Damn that Microsoft trying to put an end to all that wonderful culture that is so rare in this industry!!!

Neither of these devs answered Jeff Gerstmanns point about PC's. Isn't the average PC GPU used in gaming really old and weak?

Depends, if it a large enough market for them they won't be able to put CoD on Gamepass there and that could be enough for MS not to want to go through with the deal. If it was a smaller market MS probably wouldn't care. I think MS will fight tooth and nail against any regulatory board who were against the deal, 95% chance it's going through.

Nothing anybody types into these comment sections will make one blind bit of difference. Atm it's Sony lawyers vs MS lawyers and who can be the most convincing to these different countries. My moneys on MS's lawyers and I think Sony knows deep down they can't win but if they can delay the purchase until after Diablo and the next CoD it will be a win of sorts for them as it will hurt GP a bit and gives them some time to get their systems in place to counter..

Take all the time you need Playground. It's the first RPG they have ever done, totally understand the reluctance to show early until ready.

Most people in this comment thread just read the story title, didn't fully comprehend it and then wrote a reactionary comment about what they wanted the story to be. Incredible.

Nearly all AAA studios have a main studio who "sub-contract" stuff out to other studios whether they be internal or external. I've never heard about two studios having equal control and both studios producing the same game. Remember producing means producing funds and having the final say about the game and it's design, I've never heard that happening over multiple studios but it may have happened.

Great, atm it's my most anticipated game. Would have liked more detail about the interview though.

Boomers are from 1945 to 1964, no one I know from that gen were playing shooter video games in the mid to late 90's.

There will be more console generations as there will (probably) always be people who want them, they will just be less and less important as time goes by. Notice the article says "traditional" consoles so exempts Nintendo.

Good game but the difficulty spikes were controller throwing material. Will still check out the DLC though as I want to support this team.

Haven't played Returnal but I didn't like Control much apart from the visuals. Story didn't make much sense and I didn't like that you were always inside this blocky building. Was a disappointed after Max Paine, Alan Wake and Quantum Break which all had compelling stories and varied locations.

Why is this even news, we all knew it was from a small developer from the start, at least to anyone who took even the slightest bit of interest in it. Maybe with MS's subsequent involvement it could have stepped up it's budget to an AA and that's exactly what has happened according to the developer. My expectations are exactly where they need to be and I'm looking forward to it though the proof will be in the playing like any other game from a relatively unknown dev.

They are talking about mobile free to play games just to be clear and the reward loop and when to put in opportunities for monetization. Marc Whitten talks about mobile games and monetization and then Riccitiello chimes in. Not to say I agree with it even in mobile games but the discussion isn't around all games there is context.
