Killzone Shadowfall is definitely a disappointing installment in the franchise. But it wasn't hyped up even close to the level Titanfall was.

If conquered means less games, less hardware sales, less software sales, lower rated games and worse performing multiplatform titles, sure they conquered 2014.
The PS4 has 2 GOTY winning franchises releasing this year. The Last Of Us and LBP3. Not to mention that PS4 games on average have been rated higher for 2014.

Selling sub 100,000 units in a month on your homebase is not "gaining momentum" by any stretch of the imagination.
I love how Microsoft has now resorted to just trying to be like the Playstation 4 and how it portrayed itself to the consumers. It's so insincere, it's makes me sick. All of a sudden it's about the core gamer not the soccer moms, it about the Kinect being optional not forced, it's about consumer choice not treat them like criminals, it's about indies having control not blocking them out. Not to mention last gen it was about Xbox being the best place for multiplatform games...
Titanfall is by far the winner. It was touted as a the game that would revolutionise the first person shooter and gaming in general. The game was marketed as an Xbox One exclusive and the game that was the reason to buy an Xbox One. When in reality it was a cross generation title available on the PC and Xbox 360 with Xbox One version running like a last gen game with at 792p with an inconsistent framerate. Xbox One fans looking for any glimmer of hope to stop the bleeding on the technological conversations involving the hardware. Sometimes people want games to fail because it's not available on only one platform, they all do it.
It's not them playing the game, it's you not playing the game.

Not to mention, pretty much all of the games are garbage. Which is slim pickings currently and with it being detached and the Xbox One selling next to nothing recently, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm not speaking my opinion on the hardware side of thing. Numbers are numbers and most to all of the relevant numbers are much higher on PS4.

The Xbox One is not going to see a massive jump in sales, even with the Kinect unbundled.
When Titanfall was releasing everyone and I mean everyone from the media over hyping Titanfall, Microsoft bundling Titanfall & Forza for free, dropping the price and retailers creating their own bundles to get the Xbox One to sell and it didn't. It lost that NDP and everyone since. The general public just doesn't want it, people need to just accept that and move on.
