Gamepass ultimate will be a $29.99 service for it to be worth it for MS for long term day one AAA games. There companies are definitely not our friends especially when their invest 80+ billion on acquisitions. Their goal is to make as much profit as possible so expect further price hikes in coming years.
This is a hobby that is very expensive now and only getting more expensive because AAA games development cost are so out of control

I think it's safe to assume MS wants to sell the software to as many platforms and make as much money as possible. Xbox platform, pc, Playstation and next Nintendo. I think that's the right strategy, release the games day one on GP and sell it at full price on other platforms

Yes they all rely on 3rd party deals the difference is sony does it to give mies time to their 1st party studios. MS did it once during 360 and that was their most successful generation.
