Definitely but you also have to take into account the fact that ER is the most accessible from software souls like game ever. A lot of us had been saying this for years that this IP has bigger market only if they cater to more than a niche market
On to your point 10+ million for any game is a great number unless it's GTA
2023 sounds about right because this game still needs major improvements so hopefully they keep at it and get it done

They are putting big time multi billion dollar companies to shame. EA gave up on mass effect Andromeda and anthem so soon after launch and CDPR can't seem to really fix cyberpunk 2077 properly. Marvel avengers can't seem to do justice to the IP
At launch this was a mess but no one can deny what a redemption story this has been

But if they do a remake and do the game justice than it would sell really well.
That's what I meant they should do a remake of the first and make quality of life improvements not just graphics. The content is great it's just the controls and gameplay is outdated

I didn't know that I will try it thanks. But they should bring all 3 games to modern consoles. PlayStation never got Witcher 2
Instead of doing this should they spend some of these resources to update the first 2 games in the series since many didn't get to play them

In my opinion it shouldn't be looked as a bad thing that a console is available. We were all asking why aren't these companies doing more well it seems they are now
I think both will be on PC along with future releases. Sony just invested another 1 billion in epic. They made acquisitions that have expertise in porting on PC
But I think it will be game by game basis. I don't think it will be like every game will come to pc after X number of months on PlayStation. Some games Sony may keep on consoles longer if they see the benefits of selling hardware along with their subscription
I am wrong for some reason I thought both Ms and Sony had invested into epic. But it seems only Sony has and they have invested quite a bit of money

Xbox series X is available and there is no scalpers market for it (which is great)
PS5 is becoming more available but sells out very quickly because 2nd hand market still seems it sell for around $700+
And that 5 million isn't small. It took PlayStation 3 the whole generation to eliminate 6 million lead by xbox360 back in the day

Like you said they already have most of the stuff they need and they are using their in house engine so that should cut down on development time too. I do wonder if they will straight up remake or will they make some changes to story if needed
Honestly I really hope Xbox steps it's game up. We don't need year of any console, what we do need is real stiff competition. I miss the 360/PS3 days because both consoles were neck and neck and constantly trying to out do each other
