Wow, I fell like I'm the only one that didn't like this game.
The battle system was awful (what's with the IA controlled companions that's been flooding the JRPGs nowadays?) and the plot and subplots were too silly (Make the mother fairy laugh to get inside her and after that finding out that there was a side door? And didn't Shadar have anything else to do than steal pieces of heart of even the most insignificant people? I understand crippling kings and w...
It's good, but I still think that Kickstarter should be used by people who really struggle to have their project funded any other way, or developers who don't have much money to work exclusively on their games. Not by estabilished game developers who have the means to get funding in other ways.
It's like hating on NVidia for launching GTX 760 after GTX 780 was already released. "Why would anybody want a 760??". It's cheaper, can play the same games, and some people won't mind the few differences. Same with 2DS.
As much as I want for it to succeed, it's just one of those games that obviously won't sell.
A PS3 game has framerate issues? What a shocker...
I played through 2, Brotherhood and Revelations expecting to see Desmond in action and what would happen in the present time. After 2's ending, I got really excited to see what would happen and how Desmond would prevent it. After Revelations, I understood that Ubisoft will keep visiting events from the past and never moving the plot forward, so I gave up on the series.
I won't buy it at launch like I did with DA 2. After that huge disappointment, I'll read many and many reviews before deciding to buy it or not.
I really don't understand this love for Mega Man Legends 3. I remember that when they made the first two games, everybody was saying how it controlled terribly, had terrible plots and how it was nothing like Mega Man. Even the sales weren't very good, if I remember well.
I don't know why, but when I see lists like this one, I realize that I don't really want to play any of the games on it. But I'm really excited for games like Sonic Lost World, Mario Kart 8, and I'm playing Final Fantasy XIV a lot. I guess I just prefer japanese games.
I still remember that when Sony announced Home, everybody was all over it, saying that it was the next big thing. I always saw it as a version of Second Life, which unsurprisingly also lost popularity really fast.
When I traveled to Japan, I filled my puzzles in less than 2 weeks.
Being a jerk the entire game and suddenly turning into a righteous knight in the end, is not a good character development.
And no, I don't prefer 7, before you ask. I don't know why, but everytime I complain about 8, people "accuse" me of liking 7. Overall, 8 is a better game, even with the terrible protagonist, and the terrible magic system and the terrible enemy level system. Oh, and Selphie - God, I hate Selphie...
So, it's a list about design of Pokémon but it doesn't have pictures. Fail.
I'm not saying I dislike it in Xillia. I dislike this practice in general. Every game that sells costumes screams "rip off!!". If it sells level ups and in-game money, it scream "even bigger rip off!!".
I played Persona 4 with its tons of costumes, and realized that if it was made nowadays, I would've paid more than $200 to have all the costumes. And they were free one generation ago. Making a costume for a character that already exists isn't t...
I'm really liking Tales of Xillia, but I still think that it's atrocious to sell costumes (especially for 3 bucks each!) and those "level up" and "gald" packs for 5 bucks.
I don't know where the hype went, but fortunately I don't need that to enjoy my 3D Vision.
It's annoying that people dismiss 3D because of movies. Games are so much better in 3D than movies. Games have much higher depth, you can control convergence and whatnot. Saying 3D "adds nothing" is like saying "full HD adds nothing when compared to SD". Can you imagine yourself going back to SD? Well, I don't see myself going back to 2D either (excep...
I also think the series is dead. The last great game was FFX. But I'm still buying the games hoping that Square will use a Phoenix Down eventually.
People say that Nintendo plays safe only because everything that has Mario on it is called "the same". Those people don't even go past the name before calling it off. If Mario Kart 8 was called "LittleBig Planet Kart 2", everybody would be saying "Wow! This should teach Nintendo how to do a kart game! Anti-gravity is crazy cool!" instead of "meh, just another Mario Kart".
Completely agree. I don't get why people are whining about her inclusion.
Yes, I watched some of Studio Ghibli's movies. And there really are some things that felt too silly. In Ponyo, specially, there were a lot of overly silly moments (the worst one is people saying how Ponyo was a cute fish - even though she had freaking human face and hair).
But movies don't last long, so some silliness is OK. When we have to spend half an hour trying to fix comedians hearts, to make a gigantic fairy laugh, to get tossed in her mouth, and finding out we...
