This also bugs me. For the time it took them to make and release it, they could've done a true remake instead of a simple HD remaster.
"What else needed to be done? What else needed to be updated?"
Well, actually this can be used against this game. If nothing needed to be done, then it didn't need to be released again.
I, for one, wanted a true remake. The non-CG cutscenes have terrible animations, the Blitzball is very awkward and the graphics could definitely be much improved.
And taking cues from Wind Waker HD, they could've improved some of the gameplay...
The "nude gallery" doesn't show any nudity. They use towels around their waists. Not that I was expecting any nudity.
People love to say how they really want Shenmue 3 (including me). If it gets released one day, I bet not even a fraction of them will buy the game (but I would).
Tha't sad news. I really liked to play with him in Brawl.
People complaining about this movie sound like people that read books and complain that the movie most certainly will be inferior to the book it's based on. Different audiences, folks... People who don't own a PS3 or don't like the stealth gameplay (I hate it, but endured it because I like the plot) don't care in the least if it will be same as playing the game.
I'm still a little confused about Maxwell. It promised a great jump in performance while decreasing power consumption. But GTX 750 Ti didn't have a great jump in performance comparing to GTX 750. And now the mid-range notebook GPUs are Maxwell because of power efficiency, but the high-end ones are Kepler because of power.
I am waiting for the GTX 880 because I thought it would be much powerful than the GTX 780, but now I'm asking myself if the wait is worth or not...
I always try to have a great PC to be my main game station, and then I buy the current Nintendo console because it has so many great exclusives. After some time, if I see some Sony exclusive that really deserves to be played, I buy the Sony console (like what happened when Heavy Rain was released). But I never consider buying Microsoft consoles.
Removing the awful level mechanic from Morrowind and Oblivion is enough to make Skyrim ten times better than them. It was too much of a hassle having to keep track of how much you do anything before leveling up (even running and jumping!) or risk being overwhelmed by any enemy. I tried to like both, but having to stop doing stuff (or forcing myself to do it non-stop) just so I didn't get crappy stats increase in my next level up was really, really annoying.
What? It's only multiplayer??
I mean, I was not the least interested in Titanfall so I didn't know anything about it, but as everybody seems to be talking about this game, I thought this was a game that I HAD to play at least once. Knowing that it's only multiplayer just ended the little curiosity I had about the game.
EDIT: I read the article, and I would be pretty pissed if I found out about it only after I bought the game. I think that people w...
The "extras" are stuff that already were in the international version. The european PS2 version of FFX was already the international version. Since that is the version that I have, this HD remaster version of FFX doesn't bring anything new to me.
I never played the international version of FFX-2, so it's the only thing "new" for me in this HD remaster. But as much as I don't think X-2 deserves the hate it gets, it's nowhere near as good as ...
I wish it was a true remake. Even though I think that FFX is the greatest RPG ever made, I own the PS2 version and I can play it using an emulator. So the higher resolution isn't something new for me and the slight visual upgrade isn't enough to make me say "OMG, I want it now!".
Now Sony knows that it's not about just putting a bunch of characters together.
I wonder how long it will take for this game to go to the bargain bin. I want to play it someday just because I played the previous 2 games and I want to finish the trilogy, but I certainly don't want to pay full price for this game. I already made this mistake with the other two.
The best hack'n slash game is number 9 in this list? I call bull...

Yes, it's just the novel part. As I read some time ago, they said that the puzzle parts didn't translate well to smartphones or something like that.
The day iPhone has real buttons to play games, I might consider mobile gaming again. Tried lots of games including Mega Man X and Final Fantasy but the damn virtual joystick is unbearable.
It can't even simulate DS touch-only controls because of the lack of precision. For me even Candy Crush doesn't work well enough on iPhone because of it.
I don't like to play on smartphones, but on the other hand I really want to give them my money to help to fund a third game. I'm so conflicted...
I also think that this game relies too much on artificial difficulty. During the time I tried to play it, it was difficult for the wrong reasons.
The only point I disagree with the article is the claim that this game has a great combat system. The clunky controls ruin it.
The funny thing about criticizing a game that has a "cult" status is that its fans treat (and defend) every flaw as they were precious characteristics.
I hope so. Battles in DA2 were all action and no strategy.
