Another collection??? No, what we want is a new game!

This game didn't ruin it. It had a fine balance. The emphasis on action in later games was just Capcom being Capcom and screwing everything up.

I still think it's funny that it's the only time they used the game's main couple in the logo, and said couple is one of the worst couple in any game in the series.

"While Squall’s moodiness might deter some gamers, it is balanced well with more upbeat characters like Zell and Selphie in the mix"
An overly moody character isn't balanced of overly "upbeat" characters. The horribly moody Lightning and the extremely annoying upbeat Van...

Very interesting. I love this game, but I have the opinion that the way I played made MY story, so I refuse to play it again to change my choices. So it's fun to see what characters I could or couldn't have saved. I knew Kenny wouldn't kill Carver, and that sh*t would hit the fan if he tried, but in the few moments I had to make a decision, I ended up believing that it would be possible to get rid of him. As my logical side already knew, I was wrong...

Is anyone surprised by this?

Defense Grid is my favorite tower defense game. I finished all the stages, but every now and then I play a couple of missions again.

That's because DmC isn't a remake. It's a reboot.

Think about the movie Batman Begins. It wasn't a remake. It kept its main character and most of his characteristics, but it's very different from the previous movies. That's because it's a reboot.

Resident Evil REmake is a remake, because although it added some stuff and completely new graphics, it kept almost everything the same.

DmC, being a reboot, was supposed t...

As much as I love Shenmue, I think that Shenmue fans don't understand that although we are very vocal in our love for the franchise, there aren't many of us. If they really did a crowdfunding for Shumnue 3, it would fail.

EDIT: Wow, this article was posted more than a year ago! How did this get approved??

You only likes to play with characters that resemble yourself? So you don't play games with female protagonists (Tomb Raider, Metroid, Portal, Beyond: Two Souls, Resident Evil 3, Mirror's Edge, Remember Me, Bayonetta...), or animal protagonists (Sonic, Donkey Kong, Okami...), or robots, or aliens, or monsters... Wow, it must be really diificult for you to find only games with white heterossexual male characters in his 20's...

It's not about why they love each other, it's about how it's portrayed. Tidus starts the game seeing Yuna only as a way to go back to Zanarkand. When he starts to understand Spira, the hardships that summoners face, that she will even sacrifice herself, he changes. And most important, we see him changing. People who defend Squall and Rinoa says "Squall changed gradually while Rinoa teased him", but this just isn't true. We can even "read" his mind and nowhe...

Can I punch the writer for saying "the romance between Tidus and Yuna is actually one of the series’ weakest to date"? It's maybe the only believable one in the series.

It's known that Japan isn't really into downloading games. Nintendo even sells redeemable cards for their eShop games in normal stores to convince japanese that downloading a game isn't that different from buying it in physical media. So I'd not count PSN digital sales to raise the numbers too much.

I started Grandia III and I was really into it. Some hours later, when every battle had enemies that showered me with movement cancelling skills before my characters could even act, I gave up. Also tried Grandia 1, but Grandia 2 is the only one that I bothered to finish (and I loved it).

@SilentNegotiator
"We had games LAST gen that managed 720p60fps."
Few games managed that. Most of the games were 30fps and even then, they couldn't maintain a steady framerate. FFXIII, Resident Evil 5, Heavy Rain... just to name some.

It's like saying "We had games LAST gen that managed 1080p60fps." We did have some, but PS4 and Xbox One still can't make all their games be 1080p60fps. And I don't see you saying that they are...

Let me guess before clicking the link... Squall and Rinoa in first. For some reason some people think that the worst couple in any FF, the "couple" that has the worst development in any FF, is the best one.

EDIT: They're in second place. Well, at least they know that Tidus and Yuna are a better couple.

As much as I don't like the newest FF's, at least they have something that makes me finish them. The games from the Tales series aren't bad, but I always stop playing after twenty hours. The battles don't change much (if at all) and the story is always a little boring. I've played Phantasia, Symphonia, Legendia, Abyss and Xillia. The only one that was good enough for me to finish it was Symphonia and its sequel for Wii.

I'd rather have a FFV or FFVI remake.

Yeah. Even though I love XSEED and I want to support everything they do, I just can't make myself buy this game a second time. In fact, if I could give back the first game, I would've done it.
