I actually liked it for the most part, but it had terrible problems that kept me from finishing it. If they fixed them in the sequel, it would be an awesome game.
I bought my PS3 for Heavy Rain, but FFXIII also played some part in my decision to buy a PS3. Thank God Heavy Rain was so great, because if both disappointed me like FFXIII did, I'd have sold my PS3 after playing them.
Now not only FFXV has no influence on if I'll buy a PS4 or not, but even if I buy a PS4 because of other games, I'm not really sure I'll end up buying FFXV at some point.

Don't know if you're trolling or if you're just confused.
I agree with almost all points in this list, with the exception of "Linearity in Final Fantasy XIII". If they changed other glaring problems while keeping it linear, few people would complain about it. For example, Final Fantasy X is a prime example of how a linear RPG can still be great.
FFXIII's crystarium system, lack of cities, dungeon after dungeon non-stop, terrible characters, confusing plot, and many other problems were the reason of FFXIII being conside...
I wouldn't play EA games even if they were completely free. I don't even remember the last time I bought a game that they distributed.
Oh, so that's why Steam tried to update this game for me. The current owners getting the update for free is awesome, but unfortunately I hate the physics in this game (when will people learn that "realistic" physics don't work well in platform games?), so it only served to remember me that I still hadn't deleted it from my HD and I did it now.
I found out about this stuff AFTER I bought my basic white Wii U (the money I had at the time was just enough for a basic Wii U + an external HD, or a deluxe Wii U without the HD). And I only buy games through digital distribution on my Wii U...
Even though it was interlaced, saying they were really 30fps is wrong. It's like saying that 1080i at 30fps is actually 15fps. If you play any modern game (that runs at 30fps) at a 1080i TV, would you really be able to say that you're seeing 15fps?
"the majority of the people wouldn't even notice the difference"? "That's a reality"???
Have you ever seen a game being run on different framerates before saying such nonsense?
I think that the minimum should be 40fps. I noticed that when playing on PC, when it can't handle 60fps at high settings and I have to configure some graphics settings, if I can get it to run at 40fps it's good enough.
Well, I played it and he was right when he said "Its puzzles weren’t particularly interesting, and its characters weren’t that memorable", but I love the concept that the two games have.
The author says something I completely agree: I will never replay The Wolf Among Us. Or The Walking Dead. Or Heavy Rain. As much as I loved each one of these games, the choices I made and their consequences were MY story. If I replay them, this feeling would just go away. Even if I feel that I could have saved a character I really liked but I let them die... I'm terribly sorry for leaving you in the car, Lauren...... :(
Probably not.
They can do whatever they want, as long as they don't bring back the terrible level system from Morrowind and Oblivion.
In the beginning I tried to keep my distance from the enemies and only got near them when it was a certain kill because I didn't want Ellie getting their attention. Then one time she was at the wrong site of the wall I was hiding in, an enemy was approaching and I was like "get out of there, you f***ing b*tch!". And then the enemy bumped into her and kept walking and I was like "WTF?!?".
I don't think being dated is its only problem. I played it (but didn't finish it) during PS2 era and even then I didn't think it was very good. After that I tried playing it at least five more times on emulators, PSP and I even bought the new PC version to see if I finally get into it. I guess I'll just give up on my plan of finishing all the main non-online FF games. I just can't stand playing 7 and 12 for long (and I even bought the japanese Zodiac version of 12 - and ap...
I'm platinum, but I already have the best games offered (Game&Wario, NES Remix and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D). I guess I'll take Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move.
People are excited for a game we know almost nothing about? I don't remember a single time that the final product wasn't disappointing when this kind of situation happened.
It's better than almost all recent ones, at least. And much better and focused than Sonic CD (which, for some strange reason, is regarded as the best Sonic game for a lot of people).
Before I got to Oerba, I read that I would find side quests in Pulse. I really expected to find a real village in Oerba, where villagers would give me those side quests. Imagine my disappointment when I didn't see a single person there.
