Only the Yakuza series in this list interests me, but I didn't even finish Yakuza 4. They should've focus only on Kiryu.
They didn't remove it. Michael let them use the music but didn't want them to put his name in the credits since he wasn't happy about Mega Drive's sound capabilities.
I had actually forgotten about that part. I used to turn the game off when I got to that point, since I didn't know what to do. I had to watch another kid play the game (months after I got the game) to finally beat it.
I always thought Sonic 3 had the worst soundtrack of Sonic's 16-bit games.
I liked The Last of Us, but I agree with his arguments.
Every time I read that an RPG has random dungeons, my desire to play it diminishes by half. If I read "Procedurally generated content" in a game description, I'll probably close the page without reading the rest.
Of course, there are exceptions like the Persona series, but not every game has so many other things done right that I can overlook the boring dungeons as I do when playing Persona.
Oh, thanks for the explanation. I stopped playing it when I got to level 30-something, when I finished the game on normal difficulty in hardcore mode, so maybe that's why I've never heard of this before.
I have the game but I don't even know what a "Level 1000 Paragon" means.
I've been waiting for the GTX 880 for a long time, too. But I've read that this GTX 880 isn't the "real" 880, so I'll wait until next year to upgrade from my very old GTX 285.
I don't think there's enough story in a single game to fill a whole TV season.
I'm not excited about a single one of them. Well, I'll wait for Dragon Age's reviews to see if it's worth, but I'm certainly not expecting anything from it.
Aren't Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros being released this fall?
Well, I do play in 1680x1050 most of the time on my dual monitor setup, but it's in 3D. I only play in my 1080p monitor when the game doesn't run well in 3D and I think that the game is pretty enough to justify the "work" of changing my main monitor.
Getting acquired by Google is like getting acquired by EA and having all of your franchises turned to sh*t.
I think that the Final Fantasy 8 theory that Squall dies in the first disc is better than every item on the list. That theory is actually the only way I can take that game's plot seriously.
It was released for Wii, too. That's why I don't believe when people say that they always wanted to play it but couldn't. Everybody had a Wii. Those who really wanted to play this game could've easily borrowed a Wii from a friend (if they didn't have the console) and rented the game. Now that it's coming to PS and Xbox, people are saying how mega wonderful this game always seemed, but somehow they never made the small effort to play it.
We all know they would just raise the backgrounds resolution a little bit and put some more polygons and textures in the 3D models to say that the game is improved.
Game companies forgot was remakes really are and just do "HD remasters", and Capcom only takes the easiest choices.
"Braven Arts utilizes a day/night cycle, and NPCs follow their own routines throughout each day"
I don't understand why people think this is a good idea. The worst thing in RPGs is trying to finish (or start) a quest and having to find NPCs that move around, or even worse - NPCs that aren't available during certain times. Going to a store and finding out that it's closed because it's too late, or too early is also very annoying.
I lo...
I almost agree with all the list. I wouldn't have put Tidus in such high position (he doesn't talk about being from Zanarkand as often as the list says after Wakka warns him, and he doesn't take too long to develop - way faster than Squall, at least), and I would've changed Hope for Vanille. I mean, every FFXIII character is bad, but Vanille is the worst.
You lost me in "Squall and Zell are some FF's best characters".
I sold my Super Paper Mario copy without finishing it, and I only played Sticker Star for a few hours. I guess this franchise is over for me.
