"Dry July" has been killing me! Nothing significant in gaming news or anything! I hate July .....

Was thinking the very same thing. That's not good. But it'll also tell the differences we're seeing in PS5/PS4 and especially Xbox One development that isn't going anywhere anytime soon and will also show the quality of effort EA are putting into their next gen games, if any, so we'll have a clear distinction.

I'm actually happy to see this be the last Star Wars exclusive game from EA. Don't get my wrong, I love exclusives because it shows the mi...

Maybe that breaks Xbox. If Microsoft spent a ton of money to develop Starfield and you essentially rent the game for $15 for one month, you don't have to pay the full $70 a d Xbox has to eat that loss. So, like Streaming services, if you get a one month pass just long enough to binge play Starfield for a month for $14, I think most people will do that and then call it quits. It's like going to the casino. You only take in $10 and you say, this is all they're going to get out of me...

Someone isn't proof reading. I swear, you had one job, man, aren't you educated in Journalism? Do they not teach PROOF READING anymore? When I went to school, you wrote your paper, then you passed it to the kid sitting on your left, then the kid sitting on your right, then the kid sitting behind you. You then fixed your paper and then turned it in to the teacher. You have a college degree, dude, and you're a total moron

It's a further indication of what Xbox knows and how out of touch they are with gamers. It's always trial and error with them because they have no clue what they're doing. There's are all this support for Xbox and all it's supporting is incompetents that really don't know the industry. Its been like this since Phil Spencer took over. PlayStation and Nintendo know what they're doing and they execute it. Xbox has the very same pattern:

1) Assume ...

I'm getting the feeling PlayStation is getting ready to drop physical media, period. The article I read stated it was just the disc-based version they were selling at a discounted rate. And selling a disc drive on its own? I don't know, doesn't make sense.

Additionally, Collectors Editions (God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West), in order to cater to both camps, have had digital vouchers to redeem for the game because discless PS5s and PS4s can download...

Not soon, but with Xbox flashing around Microsoft's money, anything is possible at this point. Phil Spencer is tired of losing. His gaming division has been going down the toilet because Xbox are all incompetent, notice I said he's spending Microsoft's money, because Xbox on their own wouldn't have that kind of money but, you could be right at this stage. Microsoft doesn't want to lose so, they'll do whatever it takes. Within the next year? Probably not, for FF16 or Re...

Good on Xbox and good for Xbox fans. PlayStation's dropping the ball. Jack Tretton, Andrew House, and Adam Boyes/Shu Yoshida wouldn't have let this happen but Jim Ryan did so, PlayStation's loss is Xbox's gain so long as Jim Ryan's in the driver seat, which somehow he still is.

Now, I get that console manufacturers are treading lightly as they can't dictate how third-party devs run their business, that's 90's Nintendo tactic under Peter Mann ...

It's like everyone thought Insomniac were lying.... Insomniac are usually the most open about things compared to majority, probably. It's Ted Prices business and he knows his name is associated with it. As far as his other business practices, I don't know, but Ted Price will talk, even if he knows he's going to be looked at as the bad guy for it, but all of this came about because a developer outside of Insomniac and outside of PlayStation Studios thought he knew better and ra...

No. Enough remakes and reboots. We want new games

Yeah. Remember the deal they just made with Arcade whatever bringing thousands of games to Xbox? Emulators conflict with that partnership. Xbox thinks they need it. They figure they need quantity, when quantity is what screwed over the Atari 2600 eventually and the Wii. It's not bad to have choice, but when you have 25 different versions of Asteroids, 125 different versions of Pong, 45 versions of Space Invaders, and 36 versions of Breakout..... You've got a problem. Do we see that to...

It's come down to how much does Xbox want to control? Have they let everyone screw around enough and decided to take control of their platform? From Xbox's eyes, I see that's how they make their knew Arcade company that aligned with them with classic games to keep that service relevant as well as Game Pass. If everyone just uses emulators, then you have no Game Pass to sell, except for online play.

But, remember the PS3 era? When PlayStation removed Linux, Georg...

We've seen PS5 exclusive games. Ratchet & Clank fell under scrutiny that it could've been on the PS3, or some B.S. like that, and they found that it does run on the PS4, sort of, but it's a really lousy experience so, Insomniac was honest. If you want the best experience, it's on a PS5 or a PC with a good SSD. It plays on a low end PC with a HDD, but crashes right when you think it should. So Insomniac made a truly current gen game. Any game can be hacked down to play on a...

Bangarang Rufio. Games aren't even tapping I to what the PS5 is using yet, Sony is still pushing for PS4 development parity, obviously, because the pandemic crippled PS5 sales plus the scalping issue that made it even worse for consumers to get a console. Now Sony's suffering as a result and scalpers are now trying to get rid of their stock, most likely at a loss of some kind.

His point is, they're not even really fully utilizing the PS5 as is, unless it really ...

Well, unless Xbox are trying to be all covert after they already blew Sony and Nintendos surprise reveals (like the jerk kid at the birthday party that tells what the present is before the kid can open it) Xbox isn't going to have one. They said Series X is their Pro. Adding another console is just going to further frustrate developers AND confuse customers and fans alike. I wouldn't and I honestly don't think PlayStation should either. If that's the plans from here on out, th...

Could be Sunset Overdrive. A PS4 port is unannounced. Look, you've got to let your developers do what they want to do. If they want to work on Sunset Overdrive, or Fuze, or whatever, you gotta let them. Insomniac have proven themselves. They have creative projects they want to do and for community morale, you gotta let them. As long as they're making Sony money with Spider-man, its successful, but it's not going to last. Learn from Naughty Dogs previous examples, ALWAYS LEAVE THEM...
