Well, yeah, he'll say that now that the marketing won't effect his sales, welcome to today's world, but it would be been nice to hear an honest response then. The same thing will happen with Starfield. They know they screwed up, but they don't want to admit it because they have to make their sales goal first, then they can talk about regret. EVERYONE wants to talk about being transparent, but it's all just politics, its marketing
I really am not buying their terminology. It's got marketing campaign written all over it. If Tekken 8 is the game to push the PS5 or is "finally the game to demonstrate the power of the PS5" then that's sad. We've been waiting all this time to see what the PS5 can do and they're about to release a PS5 Pro, apparently, but we're seeing games running on the PS4 where they just adjusted the settings a little and wham! It just goes the show the PS5 is just increment...
@ Astrokis - But now you're adult whose day is filled with responsibility so you have to pick and choose how you spend it, and if it's something that REALLY commands your time, you pretty much just avoid it altogether. I think that's why so many teenagers got into RPGs, they had all of this time but they were old enough they could understand it but as an adult with a job, family, another job and other responsibilities I won't mention, you just don't have as much time to ga...
Maybe they wanna reconsider reinstating the Game Pass Trial Period again ... Since they're so into reversals
You've gotta respect that as much hype as there has been for this game and how much people wanted it to be good, they're honest about it. You HAVE to respect that
Whoa, wait! Are justifying something that has a problem? Hm..... I think the hype has gotten to everyone. Initial reviews are going to be good, but enough time down the road, people are going to become honest about the game and be like: Yeah, I was deceived, it's really not as good as we all thought.
I guess there won't be a Firewall 3. These days, PlayStation demands good scores for it's games or shuts you down future projects of the IP or shuts your studio down. Days Gone 2 and Evolution Studios. Driveclub was amazing at launch, people didn't like it and griped and complained, I liked it, but people felt it improved over time. Driveclub wasn't competing with Grand Turismo, it was competing with Forza but, because reviews weren't good enough, Evolution that made a lot...
I mean, they are giving it out for free. That's why (smart) gamers are concerned for developers and why we feel Game Pass is bad for the industry. Devs that make indie games that cost next to nothing, sure, it's promo for them, but then all of our games might as well be releasing on the Everdrive
Of course it has. They've seen you can beat the game in 14 days and they only make $1. Typical Microsoft. Cloak and Dagger. Act now and ask for forgiveness later, and then with the failure of Xbox One, say: "You see, we're listening we hear you, we want to make Xbox for you." Don't forget, they've got a $69 billion investment they have to make back as well. I'm not at all shocked or surprised, though admittedly, like everyone else, I was gonna pay $1 to play Star...
Dude, don't talk down to me or talk to me like I'm an idiot. I KNOW you blew it with Xbox One and you're still trying to dig yourself out, meaning you've got to kiss everyones butt to do it. You're telling everyone openness and transparency is what you're all about but you know just as well as I do how much of a lying statement that is too. It's business and you can't be transparent in business without exposing skeletons in your closet, because business is abou...
You're kidding me..... You hope I don't have a backlog..... For this???
You know, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but it seems digital only is swiftly approaching, and even if discs will still exist for a brief moment, you've got a dangling disc drive to have to fight with and deal with that just ain't gonna look right. Console gaming these days is about spent I think. I really don't think I'm the only one either. Game selection is weak. It...
And how much of that is just filler? I don't want a game that wastes my time, I'll go push a ring, with a stick. I want games that make it worthwhile and fun and engaging the whole way through. Mining minerals and resources is like grinding in old-school RPGs. Think of all the mobile games they made where you had to have X number of resources in order to accomplish Y. But it took so long that it frustrated you because it was such a waste of time and that's how the mobile game deve...
You first Phil
....... Okay......
He has no choice, people bought the Xbox Series S as a next gen console. He can't just alienate them and shut them out so, if it comes to it, he'll just have to eat it. But, may end up learning that devsaybe aren't so insistent on the power they keep asking for, we'll see moving forward
Like when Visual Concepts was making the 2K series? The only thing that got me with NHL 07 vs the 2K series was the skill stick (NHL07) vs standard controls (2K7) but looking back on it, 2K made the better product in every other way. Even NHL 07 on the original Xbox didn't have the skill stick
How are they just discovering this now? Why aren't they sitting down and saying: "Alright, we've been doing the same crap every year. We've giving them incremental upgrades and charging $80/yr. Don't you think it's finally time to say: 'what makes hockey, hockey' and finally build up and full fleshed game that's hockey? I almost feel like sports games at this point should be given the Destiny 2 treatment. Where gamers are given just a little more every yea...

Visual Concepts needs to get back to work making sports games. It's time to bring back NFL2K and NHL2K. If it was possible I force Sony's San Diego Studio to develop games for the Xbox, then there's no reason NHL and NFL can't be open to other developers. The NFL and NHL ought to know better than any that competition is good so allowing Visual Concepts and Sony San Diego to get back in the ring will gives fans of the brand what they deserve rather than these incremental update...
Because they're still making a killing off of the Switch and honestly, Super Mario Wonder looks like a Solid game and graphically, it looks even better
