My above statement is arguable, and it will take at least one generation, the "Next" generation, to settle that idea into the minds of the casual AND hardcore gaming communities.
If it works, then I think that maybe by 2020 or 2021, going off of Sony's Marketing plan, gamers will then accept the idea that hard software is an antiquated form.
"Cloud Gaming" is still quite foreign to a majority of the gaming community today, arguably, and it will take at least one generation. The "Next" generation, to settle that idea into the minds of the casual AND hardcore gaming communities.

Maybe the author has a Delorean...
Yeah you can expect that kind of response sometime between today and the day after you die.
From what I've seen, there are two types of women that discuss this kind of topic.
1. Fat and Fuglies that have insecurities about their appearances and are angry that no one would sell their likeness to make money.
2. Narcissistic know-it-alls that are trying to convince themselves that they are more influential and important than they really are....
didn't include the Duel Mode, Snake vs. Monkey, or the Secret Theater for MGS3.
No doubt because of Microsoft's "Parity" policy. Just because MS decided to back a last-gen format, DVD, and lost the battle against Blu-Ray, SHOULDN'T mean that gamers of any other non-MS console should pay the price.
But Xbox 360 is a profitable format. And I guess then that all the Playstation Loyals shall suffer the loss and tolerate the lack in conten...

*Doesn't know whether to laugh or call America's Most Wanted*
You are either a Master Chief Mark, someone whom has never played any of the installments in the God of War IP, or you're a Nintendo Wii-U extremist.
My shoe is bigger than chuck norris...and his car.
How could you die walking into a F'n Wall???
JFC, I guess the De-Evolution of real gaming has certifiably made its stretch across numerous gaming "outlets" these days.
I assume this reviewer would have quit and put a bullet through his head if he had ever reviewed Ghosts N' Goblins.
That is the exact same treatment that I have witnessed towards Starhawk.
With some reviewers it seems that Starhawk has a great multiplayer component, but a good or passable SP campaign, therefore it falls below a 9 and gets 7-8.5.
It is a bit misleading for some gamers. Much like Starhawk, I think gamers should experience Max Payne 3 individually and determine for themselves what makes the game playable and significant.
and much less what "everybody" was/is waiting for?

Probably beating my head against a brick wall here.
...LOL!
Because I wasn't trying to make a cryptic or confusing comment.
Honest question: Where you trying to be a smart a$$ with your comment?
but the title of this article reads like something Roger Ebert would write in order to solidify his ridiculous opinions against videogames and their refutable status as "respectable media".
I keep gettin' older and they stay the same age!
Money dwindles and becomes wasted.
I keed I keed. Listen to Tom Leykis.
LOL, that is funny. What a time to be alive :]
do you find people constantly complaining about having more options and more features.
I think the new God of War can't really win in the eyes of some people either way. If Sony had not unveiled the multiplayer videos and details and only single player footage, you would see criticism from the other end of the spectrum claiming God of War is "getting stale" and isn't following the times and not innovating.
That is at least one statement that Nintendo and Sony elitists can agree on. If you disagree, you must be a gamer that only recognizes Microsoft's gaming consoles.
