Yeah, I usually enjoy games more than what reviewers usually say.
However, I'm going to read reviews mainly to see details about the gameplay, more than anything, as well as the whole concept. Then, I proceed to think about it. Usually my gut feeling helps, as well.
I already watched the Demo gameplay, but I feel like I should play it myself. These kind of games are more fun when you're playing, rather than when you're watching.

The console version will only feature the Action-RPG kind of gameplay. This is kind of fitting, however, as DA:O for consoles didn't had an isometric view anyways.

Actually, that just means Namco Bandai America is probably going to focus into bringing Japanese games overseas, as Western development hasn't been profitable for Namco Bandai as a whole.

Games bein' heavy on cinematics don't usually mean they'll have great stories.

I kind of agree with you- Darksiders just took alot of elements from different games and put them together.
The outcome, however, was fairly fun. It wasn't BAD, it wasn't GREAT, it was just good fun.
I kind of disagree with Darksiders winning the award, however. Vanquish should've won it, instead.
