The developers get paid once they complete the game and the project is finished. Anyway, Sony obviously wants to make the PS4 as appealing as possible. Don't pretend that they aren't trying to be friendly to the consumer as well with all the features they have.
And yes, online passes are consumer friendly if you buy your games new. If you want to play the multiplayer, just buy the game. Sony might not even use online passes anymore, we don't know yet. I've ye...

And actually from what I've read in several Tekken artbooks, Raven was modeled after "cool black American actors", but it's obvious he was inspired by Wesley Snipes (Blade) since Raven's demeanor is very similar.

Making it a Wii U exclusive would be ironically retarded. The main reason why there was never a sequel made for Shenmue 2 is because the game bombed when it came to sales. Once again it was Sega showing their stupidity by making the game exclusive to another system. Shenmue 1 was a DC exclusive, then they did Shenmue 2 on Xbox. Both games should've also been done on PlayStation 2 at least.

The comments that Shuhei Yoshida and others have stated were said months before the X1 reveal. The fact that they're still not talking about it makes it obvious to me that they will wait until E3 to let everyone know that the PS4 won't have these restrictive features.

I bet your player character will get knocked down by some random explosion or gunshot or something, and be incapacitated, with the slow motion-esque whirring sounds all over the place, your character doing that typical "CoD heavy breathing thing", and then the dog charges someone and gets shot.

It's next-gen in name only. Like I predicted correctly ages ago, the engine wouldn't be "new", it'd just be yet another iterative update of their pre-existing engine. Even then, the visuals are subpar. It looks like PS3.5 or Xbox 360 and a half rather than next-gen.

I agree with you, but PC games usually still cost around $50 or $60 when they first release. It's not until later on that the prices drop, and you'll see the Steam sales and all that.

The article is pure nonsense. There was no PC hardware capable of maxing out Crysis back in 2007. No GPU or CPU combo from 2007 will even come close to maxing out any of the Crysis games.
Then they go and compare it to a completely different game, a game that is not known at all for ground-breaking visuals, which just so happens to be pretty much the worst-looking next-gen console game revealed so far.

It'd be great for Insomniac to come back and do Resistance 4. The main problem with the Resistance series is the lack of consistency in gameplay and story... Resistance 1 was kinda like a darker FPS version of Ratchet & Clank gameplay-wise -- you had all these super-cool weapons and could hold them all at once. Then Resistance 2 dumbed it down and you could only hold two at a time. Resistance 3 randomly downplayed Nathan Hale's story and ignored a lot of the questions fans raised ...
Even if the game was getting 90% scores and whatnot, it would still bomb commercially. I hate to say it, but it's the truth. The game just has no real flair or personality of its own. Hope Insomniac has learned their lesson. Come back and make a stellar Ratchet & Clank or new Resistance game.
