Everything you said, plus the fact that that game leads you by the nose from chapter to chapter. It doesn't need to be open world but it does need to be a least as open as the first 3 RE games, allowing the player to figure out and/or choose what to do next. Also, I could easily live without the wave based shooting segments.
Its that damn MP. If you don't have a solid creative vision for something, just don't do it.
As long as it has bot matches.
Seems like it would be more convenient to just borrow one.
I'm just hoping that they have the manufacturer decals for the front and back windshields. NFS: Prostreet was the last editor that I saw that properly included them.
From the thumbnail I thought I was looking at red rock valley for a second.
@thereapersson I was thinking of Future Cop LAPD, but I played the hell out of Colony Wars and thats probably why I've heard of this.
On a side note, it seems like the perfect time to bring CWs back.
Wasn't G-Police from the guys that made all the strike games with the attack helis?
If you were getting this for just SP, its worth every penny. If you were getting this for the snapmap, this is also worth every penny, by itself. If you were getting this for the MP, I would suggest battlefield or (probably) UC4, instead.
EDIT: I cannot stress enough how much the snapmap feature adds to the value of this package.
Was not a fan of the guided tour.
And miss the chance to watch fools explode into full on compositional and intellectual incompetence? You, Sir, are looking at this ENTIRELY the wrong way.
Hopefully they'll give us a sequel to Macross 30 with english subs.
Haven't even played single player yet but I've put in about 16-20 hours on snapmap. I gotta be honest though, about 12 of those were spent trying to figure how to make a door require 2 power stations/cores to open. After that I figured out how to make a wrench pick up and usable on a console to turn off a fire hazard. The last few hours I've spent just trying look at the interiors of all the pieces so I can organize them by the look and feel of them. Pretty cool stuff.
Uncharted 2 had great MP. If I ever get this it will probably be the first thing I check out.
@thekhurg Thats not necessarily true but it is a possibility. Its also possible the the head guys are nervous cause its not enough like CoD.
It doesn't need a single player campaign, necessarily. It does need everything the originals had, including bot matches and galactic conquest. It also needs to have some high level difficulty settings for those bot matches.
Snapmap, don't fail me.
The game needs offline mp, character classes, and proper flight controls and the stages need choke points. It also needs a classic BF game mode with soldier counts and the ability to grab 4 ai bots for squad.
Spare me the tired and reductive nostalgia meme.
I hate to say it, but Tabata seems like quite the obstinate fellow. The way he talks about challenging the status quo yet embraces it whole-heartedly with the ARPG thing is just... disappointing. He talks about FF from a technological and economic stand point (cutting edge technology, system seller) but he doesn't say much about the core aspect of the successful entries from the days when they WERE system sellers. FFXV, after hearing Tabata talk about it, just sounds like an exercise in ...
