The thing in the new one is that you never have to kill a licker. They are, for all intents and purposes, harmless, as long as you keep walking and don't run.
No offense bro, but thats funny to me. First thing I did after beating both scenarios of the remake is fire up the Gamecube and made it back to rpd in the original without getting bitten once, and thats with only firing shots outside the Bball court and on the bus.
Not that the new one is harder. Its not hard at all. It literally removes most of the learning curve from classic RE. It tells you when to drop key items, it telegraphs item pickups and interactive spots, it give...
Yes... and thank you, Team Ninja.
@AnthonyDavis Giving casuals a chance to appreciate games with more depth is never a bad thing. It could make the industry, as a whole, much better. How else are they supposed to come to the understanding that over prioritizing things like accessibility tends to ruin games. I also don't understand the idea that Switch and Xbone gamers are, by definition, casual.
As long as its the PS2 version and not the Xbox or PC versions.
Silent Hill 2
REmake is the best in series, as well as one of the 2 best survival horror games of all time.
It won't be good enough until it offers a buy & download option for all the games on the service. PSnow was never going to be good enough as a streaming only service. As basically a full game demo service, on the other hand, it has some potential.
To be fair, the "sexiness" in MK9 was waaayyy over exaggerated. Combine that with the terrible animations that were predominant throughout the game and the whole thing just came off as goofy, with most of the female characters looking extremely awkward and unsexy in gameplay. Contrast that with, say, Katana's default outfit in MKX, especially the Assassin variation, which was anything but goofy while also being sexy. Its the best shes ever looked. I can't say about the rest ...
Its getting pretty amusing watching SE attempt, over and over again, to organize itself in order to efficiently execute business and development strategies. At some point they have to stop expecting the money to just roll in (I'm looking at you, share holders and higher ups that were promoted from advertisement positions) and actually hire some people that are product focused who are also proficient at business/project management.
@2pacalypsenow Judaism is a religion not a race. Being Jewish is ethnic not religious. You're confusing being Jewish with observing Judaism. When you say "Jew", like the headline in the article, you are talking about an ethnic group, not a religious group.
That said, I'm not saying the article is racist. I don't know if it talks about Jews in a demeaning manner or not.
Unlike Christians, Catholics, and Muslims, Jews are an actual ethnic group. Observing Judaism does not make one Jewish. Likewise, not all Jews observe Judaism.
Do you think that it was some random decision to reduce Mr X to 20 mins of gameplay in RE2 2019? You gotta be careful with the implementation of stalker characters in horror games, for the same reason you gotta be careful with implementation of jump scares, because the player mentally and emotionally adjusts to it. If you had Nemesis chasing you through every area throughout the entire game, he would be scary for 10-15 mins, at which point he would lose his ability to scare the player and jus...
@Neonridr RE0 could benefit greatly from a remake. It was a great return to pure horror that was weighed down by a few baffling creative decisions. CV would also benefit from a remake IMO, cause it was the most boring game from classic era RE.
What happened is that the ps360 era straight up burned us out on first person shooters. Its the problem with an overly homogenized industry.
Its them chili dogs they've been eating. That shit gives me purple gas too.
Mikami found the sweet spot with REmake.
The only Zelda (besides BoTW), & Super Marios I have really played were the first ones when I was a kid and I didn't get far in the original Zelda cause I didn't understand the gameplay at the time, so I really couldn't definitively say but aren't the different areas in Mario 64 other places entirely? In Metroid, Super Metroid, Castlevania: SoTN, Classic RE, Batman Arkham Asylum, System Shock, Bloodborne etc. The entirety of the map (with the exception of the small opening...
"dark chambers on the Atari in the 70s had you collecting keys to progress to the next areas."
Maybe it did (don't know, haven't played it) but it didn't popularize the progression style. Wouldn't make it any less metroidvania if its consistent with the style.
If you payed money for the season passes, you pretty much did.
