Your comment would make sense if these new female outfits made sense, but they don't. They are less practical for hand-to-hand fighting than the skimpy outfits from MK9. In fact, the most impractical aspect of them is unchanged from MK9 to MK11. That being the high heels.
Its not about naked women, its about these ugly ass new outfits. Kitana's default in MKX was awesome. The best she's ever looked. Her new outfit is just terrible. And the fact that the devs came out and said these outfits were more realistic is just ridiculous. They obviously know nothing about real fights. The fact that they said it was more respectful is just hypocritical.

"I've always thought that it's a bit cringey with female fighters wearing skimpy outfits and that it looks silly and not like something a fighter would wear."
The skimpy outfits were a hell of a lot more realistic in terms of practical fighting attire than these new outfits. Whats worse is that the most unrealistic aspects of those older skimpier outfits (the high heels) are still there, so its just kind of ridiculous to tal...
Does anyone remember Tiny Tank on ps1? Always wanted to play it back in the day but never got around to picking it up.

Nightwolf and Rain, ftw. I'd also add human Smoke and an Ermac that doesn't float instead of walk.
Considering the mostly lackluster attempts at new characters from MKX and MK11, I'd say that Netherrealm lacks the imagination and creativity to properly fill a roster with new characters.
You still have to be very careful how you approach multiple enemies and you have to be very aware of whats going on around you throughout the skirmish.
While I am not opposed to an easy mode, it creates a problem with the player not being able to quite understand the value of the mechanics, and the value of mastering the mechanics. Thats where the fun is in any video game. The problem with many video games is that there isn't much there to master or that there isn't really a need to master the mechanics, or the game itself, in order to do well. But that is whats popular, which is ultimately the danger of adding an easy mode to games ...
I think that would be a good balance. Maybe give a bronze trophy upon completion that is something like: "Congratulations, the controller has not defeated you". Something like that with a light mocking tone to it.
I would love to see a a new Final Fight game that was designed and balanced for consoles.
You and me, both.
But only 2 playable characters though? Correct me if I'm wrong, cause I've never played any of the game for more than a few mins, but Ive watched other people play them (I'm looking at you, Rich... buy a treadmill). It seemed like there were several playable characters, which was one of the more interesting aspects, from this spectator's point of view at least.
I'm still gonna buy it. I'm just wondering whats up with that.
Honestly I think its the one of the best. Seriously, head to head with MG2: Solid Snake for best in series. And I didn't play either game until 2015 so I don't wanna hear about any nostalgia crap.
I can't believe you're conflating politics with morality.
This site advertised that the devs didn't try to screw over their customers with performance breaking software, letting them know that its actually worth a purchase.
Dude, that gave me a General Grevous/Anakin Skywalker flashback.
Don't forget to get the onyx jewel from the throne room.
It is when you get the right colors together. Like a translucent purple faceplate over an ash black backplate.
And Like I said, there is nothing practical about the new outfits. Tight fitting clothes restrict movement. Baggy clothes give your opponent something to grab onto and grapple you with. Clothes are not practical in a fight, period, because they get in the way. That's why professional fighters where as little as possible, male or female. And because they failed to fix the high heel thing, these outfits are more impractical than they've ever been... To an extreme degree.
