Jin, Why does it bother you so much that XBox fans talk smack about the PS3? If your beloved PS3 is as good as you claim, then you should have no problem defending the system with real facts, unlike DJ who makes information up. The fact that you resort to name calling shows me that defending Sony and the PS3 is becoming harder and harder to do. And I think your comment "360 is no good" is laughable. You're entitled to your opinion, but if you could support that claim with something,...
how when someone doesn’t like what they hear, they tell them to “STFU”, and calls them uneducated lowlifes. This is a forum where people can express their views whether they agree with yours or not. I recall not to long ago how Sony fanboys were touting how superior the PS3 is to the X360. Now that the truth is out and people can actually see Sony’s over hyped system, Sony fanboys can’t take the heat. If you don’t like someone’s comment, just ignore it.
I think the real point to this article is that it exposes another Sony hyped up lie. That being the PS3 will last 10 years. The PS3's GPU is already last gen and it’s only been out 2 weeks. To believe this technology will last 10 let alone 5 years is delusional.
DJ, some PS3 games may display 1080p, but you forget to mention how poorly they play (bad frame rates) compared to the 360's version and in one case I know of the wii version.
I find it absolutely hilarious that people are trying to say this game is revolutionary, amazing, close to target render. Have you seen the video comparing actual game to target render? No where near close! The game play also seems just like another racing game. Don’t believe what the developers say about their own games. Obviously they’re trying to create hype to sell it. Believe your eyes people. I haven’t played it yet, but from what I’ve seen this is an average racer.
Have there been a lot of issues with the PS3? I’ve been to 4 store locations to check out the PS3 kiosk, but in one location the PS3 was frozen and the other 3 were off.
DJ, get your facts straight. There are currently no 50GB BR movies out due to manufacturing problems. The reason the quality of BR movies have caught up with HD movies is because they stopped using the old MPEG2 codec. BR as well as HD are unproven technologies and could very well loose the next format war as the Betamax did. If history tells us anything, I wouldn’t throw my chips in with Sony.
Of course if you build a game from the ground up specifically for the system it'll run better than a port, but this is where the PS3's version of mulit-platform games will always be inferior to the 360's. I'm pretty sure most developers will develop for the 360 first because it has better development tools and it's easier to develop for.
I'm on the fence on which version looks better (that's why I put the polished comment in quotes), which is disturbing because RR7 had almost a year to improve over RR6. I think the 360 version is brighter, and more vivid, but the PS3 seems to have a bit more detail in some areas, not all. Some areas of the 360 version has more detail. Again, if this is just a port of RR6, than Sony fans should be angry.
Is no one disturbed at the fact that RR7 for the PS3 has the exact same maps as RR6 for the X360? Could it be that it's just a port of RR6 with "polished up" graphics and most likely worse online gameplay?
I'm not sure where this guy get's his info, but he sounds pretty informed.
He states that "When you speak to developers privately, they express a stunning level of frustration. Repeated delays in the delivery of online APIs, delays in coming-up with online testing kit, incomplete or missing libraries, promised features that are never delivered. The list goes on and on. They have to deal with the bloat of the OS, which eats up nearly 100 MB of memory (and one SPU), and provide...
COD2 - 9.0
GRAW - 9.2
People bought the 360 because it was the only "next-gen" system out. Now people have a choice. They can buy a 360 with games like GOW, FEAR, COD3 or pay more for the PS3. For me, the choice is simple, the 360 is a true next gen system with a proven online network, offers me the games I want (GOW, Bioshock, A. Wake), and at a cheaper price. Can't wait to see what the movie service is like.
Got a call from my local Gamestop last night stating that my copy will be available this afternoon. Really looking forward to it.
Kenny boy did promise Linux in March. Read the link below. Just another on many lies by Sony. Sony keeps $hitin in your mouths and calls it a sunday and you say YUMMY!

We all know how biased threespeech is, being paid by Sony. It'll just be a couple more weeks before we can get a real comparison...that is if Sony can deliver.
And I bet you're buying Sony's claim that the PS3 will have a life span of 10 years. From the reports available, the PS3's GPU is already a generation behind. I'm sure you know the average life span of a console is 4-6 years and this gen will be no different. If Sony doesn't want to another year to MS then you can bet they're already working on the PS4.
Not true. With the Silver membership (free), you can go to market place and download demos and videos. What you can't do is play games online and use the chat feature. And before comparing XBL to Sony's online system, let's wait and see. We still don't really know how it works. Some games will use Xfire, some will use Gamespy and some their network. I have a feeling PS3 owners would gladly pay $50 for service like XBL.
I did wish included a larger HD than the measly 20GB, but at least it’s replaceable. What will all the PS3 purchasers do when they want a larger HD? With the exception of opening it up and risk damaging their system, I suspect they’ll need and add on.
Isn’t the 20GB HD just a standard 2.5” SATA laptop drive? I’m thinking that MS will just update the 360 OS so that a larger HD can be recognized, so I don’t see why you just couldn’t buy an HD and replace it for a lot less money. I’d love to see XBMC on the 360.
IGN Graphics-7.5 "While car models and environments look good, they're not overwhelming. Plus, there's a drop in quality when playing splitscreen." RR6 for X360 look just as good and is one year old.
