Sounds like there's not a lot of difference between the PS4 and 5 versions beyond loading times and the controller. These are nice things but it's not going to be the jaw dropping showcase for the PS5 that it perhaps should have been.
Dynamic weather on some tracks but not all? Hmm.
Not convinced that there have been the advancements in AI and collision damage/physics that it needs either but wait and see on that.
Quite the chip on your shoulder there Ted.
The GoW games have always had their own take on mythology and that's a good thing. More of a warts and all approach.
Be cool if the 'Xbox fans' on this site were like this guy instead of giving the impression that they're being well paid by MS to advertise their products.
Majority of those are just rumours aren't they? Can't be mad at them for not showing off games that don't exist.
I can't say that I'm wowed by it, but the last one was absolutely superb and more of the same with the right improvements will be a special game.
Freely available online in the UK.
I suppose it's like the popular idea of the Wild West but with futuristic gadgets and 40% more horror/cannibalism. Not unappealing.
Bit played out now though.
Anyone else find Spiritfarer too long? I love it overall and it's easily the most emotional game I've played as an adult, but I'd like to enjoy the story and characters more without having to run around like a lunatic to keep things ticking over. There's more grind than necessary imo.
Just because it could be done with trickery doesn't mean it was. Insomniac's creative director said the worlds are loading at "near instantaneous speeds" and I don't see any evidence to call him a liar, if anyone is suggesting that.
@GhostScholar
It's at 75% on OpenCritic so, again, not a 6/10.
For what it's worth, on Metacritic it's on 71% critics score for Xbox, and 5 out of the ten highest scores are from sites with Xbox in their name, the lowest of those ten giving it 85%. Did you also predict that?
Miyazaki sticks with one difficulty because he likes the idea of everyone having the same shared experience. If you talk about a certain moment in any of their games then every player who has gone through it knows exactly what you're talking about and the water isn't muddied by having easier difficulties in the mix.
There's something pure about that which I like and respect.
Can't wait the original was brilliant.
Could be the same for me. On paper Dishonoured and Prey were exactly my sort of thing but I couldn't get on with either of them.
Looks good. To my eye a bit of colour on the console, exactly like that, and coloured square, triangle etc on the controller would have looked better. Similar to when you get bits of colour in modern black and white films, really makes it pop.
That's a good selection at this point in its lifespan, traditionally there's very little going on. Bodes well for the future of the console.
I've never known if people are intentionally misspelling it as rouge, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
"Finally coming home to Steam."
?
Intriguing sounding game, I hope the puzzles are good. Lovely setting.
