How is MS and IW making a MW2 bundle going to hurt the sales for the PS3 version of the game? Do you have any proof to back this up? COD 4 is the second highest selling game on the system. Pre-orders are through the roof. This game is going to sell incredibly well. The only people that will "boycott" are the irrational fanboys of which there are a minority.
The thing people aren't taking into account is the fact that most Americans get paid every other week. The first week sales are of course stronger because bills have been paid and they have the rest of the month to catch up. Not to mention that it's very common for there to be a drop off after the first week. Things will pick up again come November. And all they need is another 250k and they'll hit a million in one month. Pretty impressive turnaround.
Awesome news for Sony that they've reached .85 million in 2 weeks. Now if they would only sell the console with a headset, then I'd be excited to play online.
If anyone watched/read the many previews online for the MP aspect of this game will know that IW didn't just package a new game around a glorified map pack. There are tons of significant improvements going on with this game. There are things that change up the game play. The supply drop, the perk that allows you to attach two attachments, the custom killstreaks, the Deathstreaks, the secondary weapons, shields...This is going to be a blast.
The features they're adding this year are fantastic. I haven't bought a WWE game this entire generation, but with all the new features they're adding this year I will be for sure.
Only morons would look at what MS is offering as a bad price. You're getting the console, a 250GB HDD, which would cost about $200, and extra controller which would cost $60, and the game which would cost $60. For $400 you're saving about $110. That's a great deal.
Mind you, I'm not saying it's a better deal than what Sony is offering, but it IS a good price for the content of the box.

At the end of the day Killzone 2 is a military shooter. It even uses a lot of the same mechanics as COD and Halo. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not THAT different in terms of gameplay.

I'm not into fueling the fanboy war but I do have to point out that Killzone 2 didn't come close to selling more than COD4 or Word at War for the PS3. From a fanboy perspective, that's gotta hurt. I have no idea why Killzone didn't sell more, it's a great game, but COD is pretty much untouchable at this point.
Considering how much I love COD 4 and still play from day one to this very day, I'm more than OK with it looking like more of the same. New maps, new modes, custom killstreaks, new perks, new weapons and new single player and who knows what else? I'm there day one.

I just wanted to comment on your avatar. That band and video are two of the most embarrassingly yet hilariously bad things I've ever seen/heard in my life. I watched it about 4 times in a row just to laugh at it. I send it to all my friends to check out. Too funny.
The fact is that COD 4 has sold way more on 360 than PS3. It's more popular on LIVE than it on PSN. It sold more DLC on the 360 than the PS3. If I'm running a business and I'm trying to make the most money, I'm going to go with the sure thing first.
Time will tell if they made the right decision or not.
