Did it occur to you that that was the score the review felt was warranted? My favourite film of all-time is the Player, most critics agree, but there are people, namely my brother, who thought it was boring. Different people like different things for different reasons. I don't care if they gave it a 9.3, 9.5, or even a 8. It's one person's opinion. We are all looking forward to the game. We're all getting it. That should be all that matters.
I like reading reviews myself, but rar...
I'm sorry, but boycotting Gametrailers because they gave the game a 9.3? That is without ANY doubt, the most irrational and ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life.
I think it's hilarious that there are tons of people here wait for a review from Edge merely so they can complain about it. Why do you all care so much? I've never seen so many "gamers" who spend less time talking about games they like in favor of talking about critics and scores they don't.
Considering that I bought my PS3 to play the first one, I would say so.
I jumped. I'm a huge fan of the Ju-on series and I'm more than a little disappointed that this is only for the Wii.
Loved the dogs but I don't care if they're in this game or not.
I'm sure it will be included with a map pack so in essence it will still be free.
So a game you haven't played yet is overrated? Funny, because so far it hasn't been rated at all. Hyped? Yes. Overhyped? None of us know yet, but it's funny that you think everyone should move on when not only you haven't played the game, but EVERYONE who has says it's fantastic. Hmmm.
Dude. If you go through all that work to type something and you want people to read it you should think about proper sentence structure.
Payback wasn't HORRIBLE. It was just generic. It looked and played decent and was incredibly funny when you blew people up, but there are far worse games.
Give the guy a break. He loves video games and likes talking about them. I may not agree with him all the time, but his passion is there which I can relate to and appreciate.
Graphically, no Splinter Cell can't. We've already seen the two and while Conviction does look good, it's nowhere near the level of Uncharted 2.
Gameplay wise, I'm sure both games will be exemplary showcases of game design and game play. I personally can't wait for both.
In this economy people will most likely be cutting their spending. The game that the majority of gamers want is Modern Warfare 2. This isn't blind speculation, this is a fact. A lot of people are only buying that game or very few others. So, it makes SOUND business sense for companies to movie their title to a more leveled playing field in terms of competition.
As for COD being overrated. I'm sure it is, to YOU, but the fact remains that people are still playing COD4 to this day ...
I think it'll sell that much. If it's as good as everyone says it is, and I'm sure it is, then word of mouth will spread. The problem is that once again Sony isn't being aggressive with their ad campaign. There should be ads showing this beauty off everywhere and yet, like their past 1st party titles, they are barely doing anything.
I'm not super well versed on all things Sony so can one of the articulate Sony fans explain why this is?
That's what people said about Killzone 2 and yet...
Land of the Dead was released in this decade and it is, by far, the worst FPS I have ever played.
Well, yeah, that too.
Everyone wants Edge's review. Me? I want Game Informers.
I completely agree. I can't fathom why so many PS3 owners miss out on some of their best games. I would preach like a mofo about how awesome the first game was.
Grand Theft Auto IV - metacritic -98
If enjoy this game even half as much as GTA IV, I'm going to be extremely happy.
I'm so glad this game is getting these marks from reputable sources. Current MGS 4 stands as the best of the PS3 exclusives, with the original Uncharted right behind it. God, the 13th can't come fast enough.
That's one of the most inaccurate statements I've seen on here in a while. Congrats.
