I'm curious as to what part of my post was disagreeable. Since everything I stated was a fact. Hmm...

Day one purchase. I got more than my $60 from COD 4 so if they raise the price $10, it's not a big deal to me.

I kind of agree but you need to understand that this isn't just being marketed at the currents fans of the game. They want MORE people to play it. Every single marketing campaign is aimed at the largest group possible, not just the core. Do people need commercials to know Coca Cola exists?

Activision wants this game in as many people's houses as possible. Hence the extensive ad campaign.

Anyone who falls for a password request deserves everything they have coming to them.

I think Sony can easily make up that gap. Especially with how strong sales have been with the recent price drop.

Either way, I don't care because I have both consoles so who "wins" this sales war matters very little to me right now and in the foreseeable future.

Activision is greedy for sure, but they're probably trying to recoup more because of their investment in advertising the game. This seems to have a much heftier add campaign than most of their other products. From a business standpoint, it makes sense. It sucks, but it makes sense.

I feel bad for this game as well. Mostly because it's coming out in a crowded Holiday with tons of more high-profile games. It's going to be another critically acclaimed game that gets trounced because it was released at the wrong time. Like Mirror's Edge, Beyond Good & Evil and so many others.

It might do alright on 360 due to there being nothing truly high-profile the first 2 weeks of it's release but on PS3 this title isn't going to make a dent. Releasing the same day as U...

First of all. True "emo" has been around for over 20 years. Starting with DC bands Rites of Spring, Embrace as well as Grey Matter, Dag Nasty and others. Then of course in the 90's you had bands like Sunny Day Real Estate and Jawbreaker. (There is a very astute article on Wikipedia)

All of this was LONG before the current bastardization of not only "emo" but hardcore as well. While I believe the current aesthetic of emo will pass, the music won't. Therefore, t...

People think because the game is more accessible that it's "noob" friendly. They complain about Martyrdom and Juggernaut and such, but when you're good at the game, these are non-issues. Juggernaut exist so that new players have a chance against people who have been playing longer. What they see as "noobish" I see as allowing more people to have a chance at enjoying the game.

It HAS to suck when you just get the game, go into a room of 10t prestigers and go 2...

I'm sure the achievements in co-op are more related to objectives in the missions as opposed to people boosting for achievements in mp. I also expect tons of lobbies with a whole group of idiots with [BOST] as their clan tag just to rank up easier.

Hmm...It takes no skill. Every single time I read that I know it's coming from the brain of someone who absolutely sucks at the game.

They never implied that they were out of ideas. They asked the people who play the game for things they want to see in the game. If you think that means they're out of ideas then you should probably continue your comprehensive education. They're a developer that wants their fans to enjoy their games. Asking for suggestions means that they really want this more than ever.

I watched the trailer 4 times. Every single time, when it shows DC in flames, I got chills. This game looks amazing.

I agree with all of your points. Especially when it comes to bandwidth and internet speeds. Digital Downloads from PSN or XBOX live that up to an hour per gig. You make a game that's 30 gigs? You're looking at at least half a day to download it. Then of course, you have storage space. Which is another issue. Sure you can upgrade the PS3 but you can't file transfer so once you install the new HDD all your saves and such are gone.

Not all hacks are to pirate. I have a TON of foreign DVDs that I would love to be able to play in my PS3 and I can't because it's region locked. The only hack I'm interested in is one to unlock the region.

Martyrdom is still in the game. Though I've read that it's slightly altered.

What part of what they said implies that it should be a sandbox game? TONS of games nowadays aren't sandbox but offer a different way to approach each objective. That's all their saying. They would have liked to have the option to try different things.

Their scores are an average of points.

Story 9.2
Design 8.9
Gameplay 9.3
Presentation 9.8

How does it not make sense? They dinged it most for not being having many ideas of it's own and for the levels being incredibly linear. It's a fair assessment if that's the way they felt and it comes off as incredibly objective.

Does that mean they didn't like the game? Does it mean some people aren't going to buy this game? Nope and nope.

I want it for both the single player and the mp.

If I could agree more than once I would. I'm fairly certain that my 6 year relationship ended because I started playing games online.
