...a posting from the New York Times. It can't get much more one-sided than that. Oh snap! It's from the "Arts" section! ...well, I was wrong.
In my case, I would love to have a PS3 or 360 to play R&C or Too Human when it's out. Yet although I don't care for Sony or Microsoft, that isn't the force stopping me from purchasing or supporting their systems.
First, their systems are too expensive for me. Second, their systems include things I do not want or need. Third, for Sony, their games are not that good (currently, as I'm sure that will change as soon as the devs start understanding the architecture better) and f...
Awesome.
I love how FOX News picked a hyperactive idiot to debate with Jack, while they show Jack remaining calm and collected. Great job FOX News, great job in presenting the debate totally unbiased. </sarcasm>
Whether she's supposed to resemble Samus or not, she's looks better than the game character, especially the one from the NES.
I can just imagine what Nintendo is really researching behind the scenes. Think about all this new technology they are introducing into gaming and then think about an ultimate goal they might have for all this new tech. The future of gaming will be very good, very good indeed.
P.S. I could say the same about the PS3's graphical capability for all you fanboys.
Going from 2D to 3D or vice versa is almost like changing a genre. There is a loss and a gain. Whether the user likes it or not is pretty much personal choice. Obviously, certain elements cannot be maintained when decreasing or increasing the gameplay's number of spatial dimensions. The game gains or loses a whole dimension in the process. Everything from the users viewpoint to jumping to object interaction to aiming to whatever gets changed. In my opinion, the only thing that doesn't seem to...
This should be entertaining...
I love the Walk Evolution one! That was hilarious.
Wow. I think this really shows that Nintendo wants everygamer, not just the casual. I'm kidding, this is definately marketing at its best. Who's pocket will be picked next?
I agree with you on this classic. I hope they don't turn it into a God of War/Heavenly Sword profit sponge. Just give us the classic with some much needed next gen qualities.
Totally awesome. It's so cool to see Mike Patton use his superb vocal abilities for more than grinding out some killer lyrics. His voice is definately suited for game characters. I hope to hear more musicians who have great voices do some voice acting in games.
I hope it retains its 2D awesomeness but if it has been upped a dimension I hope it's only 1/2. Street Fighter IV in 2.5D might still retain the 2D awesomeness and add some sweet partial depth.
Whatever it turns out to be, I think we all can agree that trailer was very well done.
This is not a copycat game by any means. It does contain certain videogame elements already present (Metroid style arm-weapon/grappling hook, Spiderman web-slinging, or whatever) but this in no way is a rip-off copycat, it's a remake of an original. Bionic Commando was a huge success back in the day and it looks like history is about to repeat itself.
I'll buy a 360 for this game/trilogy alone.
Spoken like a true mature adult. I agree with you.
I am humored by your respect for Kotaku but it's also very sad that you think so highly of them...anyway that's not the argument.
I cannot believe your ignorance to understanding something as simple as a circular argument. You contradict yourself, present your argument with an arrogant tone, and are totally stubborn to the truth about your own argument. Seriously, open your eyes and read your own argument. You're presenting your case with brute force and contradictory statement...
This game isn't very well known even to most Gamecubers. If you haven't played Battalion Wars on the GC you might want to check it out before getting BWii.
I know I'm getting this one. It looks fantastic, the gameplay looks smooth, and I'm guessing the control scheme is going to fit in nicely. I may not get it right away but this will be a definate sweet potato for the Thanksgiving holiday.
@ DwightOwen that was proven a myth a long time ago.
For the record, these are Nintendo of America executives who are getting co'cky. It's happened before and after NOJ hears about it or gets a bad response the executives tend to shut up. So don't go blaming Nintendo for a few apples that think they're the pick of the batch.
Guitar Hero III raped my wallet. It'll be a few weeks before I get this and by that time I think I'll have to get Super Mario Galaxy with along with it...
