Ninja Gaiden 2 won't get an AO rating. This game is no comparison to Manhunt 2. The article is reaching for something that isn't there. And stop with the video game-movie comparison because there isn't one. Movies are passive entertainment and videogames are active entertainment; passive means one sits and watches while active means one sits and interacts. There is a HUGE difference between games and movies.

I thought I'd have nothing more to say but your ignorance and arrogance are just so appalling... Now you're attacking the whole community of Muslims? You have a serious mental problem, boy. This is my last reply...

Considering you're ignored by 20 people and tracked by zero, I'm going to assume, and rightly so, that you are a liar. It's very easy to say you're not from a specific place when you never state your location, such as putting it in your profile. Consequently, your st...

Your ignorance to truth and compassion is not surprising. You must be from the US. I'm finished arguing with you and your closed-minded foolishness. Open your eyes, move out of your stereotyped reality, and get an education.

Indeed, there is a world out there and more people need to become aware of it. Instead of listening to friends, TV, bigot family members, whoever or whatever, people need to do their own research and STUDY if they want to know the truth. An education is worth far more than an opinion.

To quote an already tired similie, opinions are like a*sholes, everyone's got one.

Religious fanatics are ruining this world, not religion. Ignorance is ruining this world, not religion. People who fall to immorality, irresponsibility, arrogance, greed, lust, sloth, choose your vice, these people are the ones ruining this world, not religion.

Consequently, not only your comments against religion but also people who take aggressive action against religious communities or influence others to do so are also aiding the demise of culture and social substance. Plea...

The point is that playing (note that playing implies activity) video games involve user interaction while watching (note that watching implies passivity) TV does not.

There is a HUGE difference between the two media, especially when it comes to user interpretation and the influences that both have on the user.

Anyone here actually have a worthy comment?

Child abuse is a seriously traumatic experience for any child. Now add a free-roaming, repetitive game like GTA that acts as an outlet for such a tortured individual and one has a recipe for disaster. Although the game most likely had influence in this boy's actions, I doubt that he would've killed those men if he hadn't been victim of child abuse.

I agree, Jenzo. It wasn't as tasteless as I expected it to be.

On the other hand, V2oom's statement was very tasteless and immature. It's still a mystery to me how ignorant people can be, especially when they are as adament as V2oom about declaring reason over religion. Shouldn't an individual who thinks reason is superior act a little more reasonable and mature?

Was that the beach from the original Halo?

I've played AA since it was first released on the PC. It is top notch when it comes to "realistic" warfare scenarios, sound effects, visuals, etc. (as realistic as one can get on the computer). As it should be since it was the US Army who directed the development and production of the game. I'll be getting this one. It won't make me join the Army but I'll definately support our system and troops with other means.

No. You, people like you, and your immaturity are the reasons why AO games are still blacklisted.

I understand the argument and it is true that toys which simulate real weapons will eventually lead a small percentage of kids to use real weapons. Unfortunately for the argument, it's likely that the percentage of kids who grow up and use weapons without previously using a Wii Blaster (or whatever) is much higher. This implies that the majority of kids who will use weapons is independent of whether or not the kids use these plastic replicas. Thus, the argument fails.

I'm not sure how much or what this is really going to help but it's a good idea for kids who don't focus on education. Maybe ignorance in the populace will begin to decrease 50 years from now...

Wow, I'm so impressed with everyone's intelligence. Most of you are all so mature with your language and opinions. Hmm, wait a minute, maybe that's the reason they don't release AO games on these systems... Dig your own graves but don't start complaining when life begins to get more difficult.

...um...sarcasm...

Your comment just confirms your ignorance and selfishness toward understanding the bigger picture. You've been playing since blah blah blah and now you're blah blah blah and yet you still act like a whiny 2 year old. Yea, games haven't made you remain a moron. Note the sarcasm.

I agree and will add that R* has a problem with understanding their own claims of artistic expression. Fortunately for R*, the majority of people have no idea what should be considered artistic expression and what should be considered irresponsible propaganda and harmful/degrading media. Any self respecting, educated, and creative artist would agree that Manhunt 2 is not art. If you don't believe me, ask some.

The problem is that art is created for interpretation and some peopl...

As many of the previous users have done, you too have taken IGN's statement out of context. If you care, read above.

6765d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I apologize for thinking you were intelligent enough to understand contextual statements. I'll refrain from trying to clarify things for you since you so vehemently display that you wish to remain ignorant.

How is judging a snapshot that's re-displayed over computer screens with varying resolutions going to give anyone an accurate comparison of two games? Rachet and Clank Future is going to be incredible and the graphics are superb but they are comparable to Super Mario Galaxy....

If you can post a quote then surely you can read and understand its meaning. Yet, I don't see you being able to do that.

Taken in context, IGN's statement holds. If you have trouble reading it in context then maybe you need to re-read it. They mean that the graphics of Super Mario Galaxy are fantastic for its style. Obviously, if the style was a realistic war simulator it wouldn't stand ground next to Gears of War or Killzone 2.

Hey I have an idea, READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE BEFORE POSTING IGNORANT COMMENTS!

That being said, I agree with IGN. Additionally, you idiots above who keep making statements about the graphical comparison between Super Mario Galaxy and Halo 3, Gears of War, or Killzone 2 are beyond ignorant and obviously illiterate or just too f*cking lazy to actully read the article.

Stop posting comments based entirely on the title and start reading the article itself! A bunch of ...
