I know he means well but he's really not being effective in a positive way. Everything he is doing is undermining the ratings system, limiting the creativity of developers by instilling fear in them, and really pissing off the adult gaming community.
This guy just doesn't have the ability to argue either. I think the only reason he's still influential is because he forces his way in, complains and stamps his feet until he gets his way.
And what the hell is this a...
Wow. This game is going to make me change my shorts every time I play it.
Graphically it looks great, gameplay looks fun, survival/horror element looks well done, especially in those tight corridors. This game is going to freak some gamers out, including me. It will definately be one of the better games of this genre.
Although the game did look a little dark, it sure does add to the evil ambiance. Just think, you won't be able to see the enemy in front of you unt...
FU is going to be incredible!
White Knight Story is going to kick some serious RPG a**. I'm definately getting this one.
Half of it just disappeared and now it's back... wtf?
Anyway, good counter-points, especially when referring to Galileo and his struggle. I know what you mean and I'm sure you were only drawing a parallel to the principle behind the analogy but I must say, Galileo's plight was far more honorable and significant to the betterment of mankind by introducing an observational truth to the world. By no means is R*'s struggle with a ban equivalent to the struggle and punishment that G...
Well, if it is a new princess it's probably because Princess Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and the game takes place elsewhere, in some other kingdom.
If it is a different kingdom then I would imagine a different princess would rule over it.
Perhaps the human animal needs an outlet such as this genre of game in order to compensate for the continued dissolution of "the hunt" that modern society has brought upon us. Hunting and fishing have been slowly eroded away or turned into sport by the introduction of urban life (i.e. we get our meat/fish at the store, no hunting involved).
Could this be an argument against the banning and censorship of horror/gore games? Well, I think yes and no. For one, the gamer i...
R*'s quote at the end of the article, which is a repeat from their letter, "...a ban is punishment for deviating from tradition..." While I see what R* was trying to say, the implied totality of this statement is erroneous. Tradition is not the only reason to ban material and in R*'s case, tradition had only a small part of it. A ban is also a way to say that we will not condone the distribution of such material.
The next line, "...A ban denies everyone the chanc...
The question posed at the end of the article is very interesting. In my opinion, I do not think that a social divide will emerge. There are four other senses also involved in perception and while our visual sense may be the dominant one we use it's not necessarily the best to use in all cases.
A simple example would be when it's night/pitch black. How are the visually literate going to react when their most reliable sense is diminshed/taken away? They would no longer have a mas...
It's worth reading but I'm not sure it's going to settle any arguments. I found that the player data at the end of the article was more interesting than the article itself (i.e. Forty-two per cent of online game players are female).
The president's annual salary is only around $400,000. Lots of people make more than the president. I, unfortunatley, am not one of them...
I think everyone makes more money than I do... Sadly, philosphers and scientists are underpaid.
Unrelated but I love your display picture...
Maybe Steve Jobs? I'm kidding... I just hope it's not CliffyB
My eyes are limited in viewing small pictures with lots of detail. What is your display picture?
I would also like to know the reasoning behind his decision. Why EA? Perhaps an attempt at a next gen (4 years from now) console isn't out of the question...
This post just keeps surprising me and getting better. Odion have a bubble for humbling yourself, apologizing to others, and admitting your error.
This thread has me laughing tears already. First it was Marceles reply to Lyberator and now reading your rhetorical and witty inquiry about "sunking", damn, I'm in stitches. This post is hilarious.
@ Lyberator: Indeed. This is quite the surprise.
@ Marceles: Superb reply. I'm still laughing. That would give many gamers a heart attack.
This game will definatley increase the interest in purchasing a PS3 to both hardcore and casual gamers. The R&C series has always been a delight to play and offered a unique and humorous story to follow. This game is going to rock, period.
Niiiicccce.
