The only problem is that common sense is especially rare these days. :/
Are you asking why they're selling guns? Because they're one of the best tools for self-defense. Are you seriously trying to say, "They should ban guns!" so that law-abiding people can't get guns, but criminals can (black market can get you anything)?
This is a perfect case in which, APPARENTLY, a few bad apples spoil the bunch and, frankly, it's getting really damn tiring.
Edit: MrMagnum actually said exactly what I meant, but bette...
Isn't EVERY pic of him a disgruntled pic?
I actually ended up unsubbing to them in 2011 for the same crap. THey may get to reveal some games or at least a lot of unknown information about them, but as a magazine... they're crap and aren't really any better than Kotaku from a quality standpoint.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait... Are you SERIOUSLY trying to imply that Crysis is a thinking man's game? My God, that's... that actually just made me laugh. You want to know some thinking man's shooters? STALKER, especially at the beginning. ArmA. Operation Flashpoint. SWAT 3/4. Rainbow Six.
Crysis is NOT a thinking man's shooter. It's no where friggin' close. Hell, Battlefield 3 is more of a thinking man's shooter, but that doesn't mean that game is on...
@Reverent
That's not true at all. Part of this WAS Valve's fault. Valve plays every game that gets thrown at them to make sure that it's fit to be put onto their service. They put it on Steam, knowing that the information they'd posted was a bunch of crap. They did it as a way to see how much many they could make off of a controversial game and I'm fairly certain they made a decent amount of money considering how long the game actually ended up sitting there. :/ <...
They actually have. XD
You don't notice the difference in FPS? Heh, trust me, if you had a copy of a game running at 30 right next to one running at 60, you'd notice a huge difference.
@DarkPower
THQ and Ubi? Ubisoft's finally cut their stupid DRM down to damn near nothing and THQ...
What's THQ done? Tons of DLC for Saints Row: The Third? The company's about to go bankrupt and nobody's buying anything BUT Saints Row. Hell, they gobbled up the DLC, too. But who bought Red Faction: Armageddon? Who bought Darksiders/Darksiders II? Stacking? Very few people, indeed, sir. Far too few. :/
That's what I do. For Steam games, I buy them on Stea, but pirate them so I don't have to deal with Steam (sorry, I just don't like Steam. It's DRM to me, is all). It's not like I'm missing out, since I pretty much don't ever play any game online except maybe Killing Floor, Blacklight: Retribution, and Gotham City Impostors.
But this? Nah, I'm not buying this, nor pirating it. I'm just boycotting this crap just as I did Darkspore and Diablo...
Yo know what's even more ridiculous? The fact that this moron sent emails to the gaming PRESS rather than the developers/publishers. I mean, seriously, if you're going to try and make someone feel guilty, at least send it to the right person.
What a jackass. Always has been, always will be.
Hmm, I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece, just as I wouldn't call any of Bethesda's games a masterpiece. However, I do think it's probably the best game developed by Bethesda and, up until New Vegas came out, I had played no game as much as I had that game.
With that said, I do think you'd find more loyal to the Fallout franchise within New Vegas. It acknowledges the events of the previous games, something Fallout 3 did incredibly sparingly (No mention a...
Eh, she'd look a lot better if she didn't insist on having the most hideous hair styles. Reminds me of Gaga's worst hair on crack.
What, do you REALLY think they've halted game development over the box? No, the art team is pretty much already done. So, rather than have them sit on their asses all day doing absolutely nothing, bored out of their minds, they can actually draw and make some cover art.
Besides, the art you see in this article have been completed for at least 6 months. Hell, we know some of that art was used for the GameInformer covers from early 2011. Nothing is detracting from time spen...
Only worked on Resistance and Ratchet and Clank? Did you forget, I don't know, SPYRO THE GODDAMN DRAGON?
*rolls eyes at Mika for the 15 billionth time*
The original Xbox was far from a small PC...
Also, Valve wouldn't be stupid enough to try cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Why? Remember the 2007 Shadowrun game with cross-platform play? The 360 players were just beat down by PC users because PC users have a mouse. And when it comes to shooters, you flat-out can't beat a mouse. All cross-platform play would anger console gamers who are playing online against people who have the constant upper hand.
0_o What in the sam hell are you talking about? Are you really so naive that you think Valve will fall if this isn't a success? Or that if this IS a success, that Valve will ignore the PC market?
Oooookaaaay then.
It's very curious how they plan on making a profit. I highly doubt this box will be sold be over a thousand dollars, like a good PC costs, so that means that they're putting a whole hell of a lot of faith that each person buys enough on Steam to counter-act the loss for each system sold.
Another thing that strikes me as strange as how they're marketing it. So, it's a console-PC hybrid, essentially, so you can have all of the advantages of PC gaming without the...
No graphical update? What the hell are you talking about? They upgraded the Source engine in a big way between HL2 and its episodes, though most notably with the inclusion of things such as HDR.
I hate it when people talk out of their asses...
Are you kidding me? They're ACTUALLY trying to have a gay gamer convention? I thought it was stupid when they were just talking about wanting one, now they're actually trying to make it? I guess I should try to make a gaming convention for Christians and conservatives, too! While we're at it, we should make one for cats, werewolves, and those bloodsucking leeches commonly known as "lawyers."
