I can't even really say I support the Steam model either since it still undermines what can and cannot be done with purchsed content. Once digital starts giving me the option to sell, loan or keep a copy outside of a user account I'll be more open to it but as it stands it's still too limiting.

In other news Square Enix has also delayed their delay announcements until further delays can be delayed :p

It should get a little easier now that we know the Wii U is way more customer friendly than another company I could mention named M$. Maybe the N just needs to start marketing their console as a less restrictive alternative to some of its competition.

I can't attest to which version controls better or has the better framerate but that wasn't the point of the article, the author is saying the touchscreen on the Wii U adds more to the gameplay by offering a 3DS styled two screen interface along with the single screen version offered on the PS3 and Xbox. I played the demo on the Wii U and had no framerate issues but can say the aim could have been slightly tighter, it didn't ruin the game though and the touchscreen does do a great...

Buying the license isn't a bad thing if you have the ability to treat that license as a physical product that can be loaned, rented, bought from the owner and sold by the owner to whomever they chose because it's a purchased digital product that has physical monetary value.
If you see software as a commodity that doesn't degrade or lose value you should still be paying the full price for all the past generations games or any game that ever comes out on PC but you don'...

Seems like your the kind of person this article is talking about and I completely agree with the authors aspect and label you as a "consumer" because that's what you are.
I'm a customer that will take my money elsewhere where I can do what I want with the license I buy to play the games I pay for and loan them out or sell them, or even not buy them and rent or buy used if it's been out for years and can't find a new copy. Your a consumer that buys just to sa...

Your games don't really matter anymore M$, your business practices have assured that.

You make it sound like that's a good thing. It's not.

Too bad M$ isn't taking questions at E3, otherwise you might get some answers.

Considering the N has the only console with no DRM and BC, not to mention one of the few with a more customer friendly approach, I say no not only would they not be better off but gamers wouldnt be better off.

Anyone even read the article? This has very little to do with the games that were released and more about the dysfunction of the industries practices that have gone mostly unchecked this gen. There are great games in every generation but the extreme BS of DLC, being release day $60 beta testers and the DRM (for consoles) and massively bloated costs (and the subsequent 'oh we weren't successful cause of used games and piracy) is this gen and this gen only. At least until next gen...

Damnitt, this gosh darn One Box won't work without this brick plugged into my wall socket! And I need the enterwebinet too?!? AHHHH!
But seriously, this Avalanche guy needs to STFU. When did it become normal to trash on the concerns of your customers!?

And digital games should be transferable to wherever I need them instead of locked to an account or company that can be shut down or can go out of business.

Sounds to me like they're taking stock from various stores and spreading them out to other retailers that need more of the 8 Gb model.
