Not knowing about demand is such a BS excuse, lots of people have begged for this game on VC, for a remake/ remastering of the series, for a sequel and so on. Demand has been there for a while.
Wasn't the reason for Earthbound not being released before because of a copyright issue with some of the music? Maybe the extra charge is to cover paying for the use of the copyright material or something to that extent.

F2P can work but a F2P model for AAA would almost certainly mean pay to win. The casual/social only works because of extremely low dev cost and wouldn't work for much of anything outside of that particular demographic. The day I have to pay a dollar to continue in Uncharted or wait 8 hours is the day I stop gaming.
This is how drm will be implemented in the next gen, not by consoles but by publidhers making online only games. The future is about them, not us.

I'd say this poll pretty accurately describes my interest, I have a WiiU and getting the menu, inventory and map off the TV and on the pad is awesome. I'm really interested in the screen for actual game control too but outside of The Wonderfull 101 not much is really looking to use it as a meaningful input method, I hope that changes for some games but definately not most.
