My internet browsing is now almost completely done on the gamepad and on my slow days at work I can hook up the system and play on the gamepad which is AWESOME. I love it, can't wait for Bayonetta 2!

To melee attack you have to swing the remote, with can easily get you turned around and killed since turning is controled by moving the reticle to the side of the screen. Controller is the way to go if to ask me.

I'll buy games new when the DLC gets included with the purchase instead of being charged another 30 bucks for a season pass. Let people who buy used pay for the DLC. Problem solved in a non greedy fashion!

I miss the golden era of gaming back when people in the business kept their mouths shut and did their jobs instead of ranting on the net

Sounds like the Double Dragon movie is no longer the worst piece of the franchise

I'm a huge fan of the gamecube controller. I like the dualshock too but the only way I find it comfortable is by having both the index and middle finger on the L/R buttons, it seems to make using the analogs feel more precise.

Consumer rights are always worth mentioning and mishandling of aspects of a service is always worth mentioning

And when hardware changes your purchases have a great chance of not transfering over to a new system (PSN), the price of digital isn't going to be much cheaper than retail since there's easy profit to be had in keeping the games close to retail cost, no trade in of games means your purchase is worth less, no lending out your games or borrowing from friends, and anything you buy is subject to the terms and conditions set forth by a company that will have the authority to lock you out o...

Man I wish more people thought like this. Ramifications matter!

Yea this information is based on what people want, not what they will get. There's not enough info about the consoles yet to say whether I'll get one or wait, or not get either at all

So, anyone ready for always-online yet?

Technology shouldn't advance by forcing things people don't want in the first place.

This is not a gaming industry problem so much as it is an across the board problem with corporate business practices itself. Companies in the video game industry are doing what Wal Mart, Bank of America and so many others do, which is cheat the system as much as possible then lie and deny when they're caught.

Ahh, NOW it's starting to make a little more sense...

Yea gaming is getting great since the inclusion of DLC. Love annual releases and the same boring and stale systems being used in each game? DLC is part of that since devs and publishers can just make DLC for their game instead of releasing different games or new IPs. All those people coding and testing DLC could be working on something far more original than a couple of new characters or a raise in the level cap that should have been there in the first place. And if this stuff IS unnecessary ...

Instead of spending all this money to show off a demo why not just wait until a demo is ready without the use of an overly powerful build? Sounds like a waste of cash to me

I've used them to get a better idea of whether I want to buy a new game by watching the first hour or two. Also for watching people play through older games that I dont want to go through again, like some of the older Snes/Ps1 era stuff.

@ Optimisticprime
There's nothing optimistic or prime about that statement. Games got along just fine for generations without this kind of BS business practice and it can be done again. It's sad when so many people have so little money and your here defending giant business for charging for things that were free or included with the game only ONE GENERATION AGO. I think the problem is some people have nothing better to do than throw their money around and pretend it makes them...

The way the article's written it sounds as if the game makes trying to aquire the amount of gold necessary to unlock said dlc tedious enough to make someone just want to pay out of pocket for it, which seems to be an option.

Fine, HOME CONSOLES need to go back to cartridges lol... unfortunately I would think costs would shoot the price of games up way too much to make it feasible.
