And I would personally give NG2 a 9/10. Have you people finished NG2 yourselves? Tell me why it should be lower? Technical issues were exaggerated in most reviews and the story is pretty standard videogame stuff. I can't stop playing this awesome game.
1up said that the second half of the game was 80% cutscenes...
Square Enix wants to keep both Microsoft and Sony happy. Sony wants to keep Final Fantasy at all costs and Microsoft wants it's own exclusive, proven series. I think anything could happen at this point. E3 should be interesting...
And I've played Sigma to death. NG2 slaughters Sigma in just about every way. More detail on enemies, more enemies, 10 times faster, and even bigger environments. A lot of times, you can see the entire level if you just stop and look around. You can see where you began and where you'll end up. Very impressive. Toward the end of the game, you actually go back to the Hayabusa village. They could've done a direct comparison with that level and the first level of Sigma, but the action in N...
What have you done to Soulcalibur?! Save this crap for another game. I'm waiting for you guys to reveal a fricken Ewok stage to fight on. Am I going to have to fight Imperial walkers in survival mode?!
I can't find a favorite. Well, maybe the claws...
He's awfully opinionated for someone who didn't even complete the game. Well, it's definately a 6/10 for people with no skill.
But I hope he doesn't go through with that World War 2 game... Hopefully Microsoft will talk him back into making games that require you to chop people into pieces with swords.
Great score! Can't wait to play this AAA gem!
Not Ninja Gaiden fans. There's nothing worse than having someone review a game that doesn't even remotely interest them. Ever read a RPG review by a guy who clearly despises them? It's horrible. I don't want people reviewing this game if they can't appreciate it's hardcore nature.
People are reviewing an unfinished version of the game. Teamxbox confirmed it. 7/10? Whatever. It doesn't deserve a 7/10 anymore than it deserves a 10/10.
This game should only be reviewed by people who are fans of the genre.
And in a Ninja Gaiden game, that's all that matters. I have Sigma and the demo of NG2. NG2 has a better counter system, more enemies, bigger environments, you can aim the spells, and the violence is even more satisfying. It is no downgrade my friend.
Dead or Alive was designed to be a more accessible version of Virtua Fighter. Something that the casuals could play with the hardcore and still have fun. I think they pulled it off masterfully. I love DOA, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter equally. A great fighter is a great fighter.
That's why Ninja Gaiden 2 is coming out in June. DOA5 would be a welcomed surprise. I hope it's weapons based.
Plus, some of the more impressive levels in the game probably haven't even been revealed in screenshots and videos.
He was responsible for some of the best graphics on the original xbox. I can't wait to see what he accomplished on 360 with NG2. Just a few more days.
Shhhh... Don't tell anyone.
And it blew my mind. It almost makes the first one look boring in comparison. Critics can drag the score down complaining about difficulty and lack of innovation, but we'll see if these other complaints have any merit next week. Sounds to me like this game is being reviewed by a bunch of noobs.
I have played plenty of "8" games, and I wouldn't put them on the same level as NG2. Weak lighting effects? Not a very memorable story? These nitpicks are why I would rate it 9/10. I play games for fun. That's all. Don't you think that actual gameplay is the absolute most important thing in any "game"?
