You can't really enjoy your console of choice unless you know it's the best selling one. Plus, if your console of choice wins, you get a prize. Right? I mean, why else would these people fight so feverishly?
Except for Johnny Cage! And if MK is stuck with Jax then they should have given DC Aquaman. It's only fair.
The combat is actually pretty awesome. There is a ridiculous amount of items that are tedious to manage and you'll never use a fraction of them, but overall, it's a really solid action rpg. I would give it a 7.5
I haven't had a chance to check out Infinite Undiscovery yet. There's so many rpg's on the 360 that it will take me a while to get to it. After I finish Tales of Vesperia, I have to move on to Fable 2 and The Last Remnant. This new Ninja game looks cool. I love a good Ninja game.
Is in no way an insult to Resistance. To me, Resistance feels like an old PC shooter. I have yet to play something that can match Halo's smooth controls.
But 360 has Left 4 Dead and an actual rpg made by square enix, The Last Remnant.
You actually believe that LBP will outsell Gears 2? I'm getting off this crazy train.
There's nothing coming out this fall that can stand up to Gears of War 2. All you guys can do is pray that it doesn't sell 5 million copies in it's first month, get a bunch of perfect reviews, and win a bunch of game of the year awards.
The average gamer would be more interested in Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 as opposed to Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet. I agree with this prediction.
"The analog controls lack depth of any kind, get really old really quick and are unresponsive, only working when they want to, the controller input struggling to cope with the various commands Too Human demands of it."
This statement is a blatant lie. And I don't find the game hard at all. If you do air combos you won't get beat to death. Another classic example of a game being reviewed by a guy who probably doesn't even have the motor skills to tie his own shoe.
The Resistance engine feels old. It also lacks that certain something that separates it from all the other shooters out there. Gears absolutely destroys it with fun factor and it's a lot more impressive to look at. I wish Killzone 2 was launching in November instead. It had a much better chance of standing up to Gears 2. More players online just means more chaos. Not more fun.
If you like action rpg's you'll like Too Human. The game is really old school, so if critics want to give it low ratings then that's fine. I never pass on a good action game.
But with the release of a demo, we'll finally be able to see some actual gameplay footage. I still can't believe I'll be playing this on my 360.
This coming from a Tekken fan.
It had a unique auto block system and you would have to switch stances in order to block different attacks. The combat was good. Not the best in the genre, but it deserves respect.
Just because casual gamers can get through it doesn't mean that's it's a button masher. If you mash your way through it you won't even see half the combos. I don't think it should be punished for trying to go mainstream. Just look at the Ninja Gaiden 2 sales. It uses the most overdone concept in videogames(kill bad guy with ultimate sword) but somehow every aspect of this game feels inspired. 6 hours is short, but games aren't as long as they used to be. Heavenly Sword has perfect dialo...
You have 3 bubbles because you go around calling people morons. If you read my comment again you might spot some sarcasm. I agree, Dragon Quest VIII is awesome.
A "flop" is a game that doesn't do anything new. If it doesn't innovate in some way, it gets mediocre reviews. Nevermind the fact that these games can usually go toe to toe with every other game available, but if it didn't actually "invent" anything than it's a worthless flop that no one should buy. I wish I could think for myself, but if this game didn't blow the mind of the reviewer than I should stay far away from this one.
Lair alienated itself with the sixaxis controls. Sure you can get used to it, but most people would have preferred to use the analog sticks. I think it deserved the criticism because I actually wanted to play it without looking like I was trying to keep gravy from spilling off a plate. Plus I'm lazy and only want to move my thumbs. Haze is just bad. I'm a huge Timesplitters fan, but Haze is awful. I hate everything about it. It makes a game like Timeshift look like a system seller. To...
A 3rd person shooter would be cool, but anything made by someone other than Bungie is automatically not going to really be Halo.
