I downloaded the demo to show the wife and she liked it so bought the game. A good way for me to justify that purchase 😂
You got that right.
@shaggy
I think the point is the hype MS put behind it and all the talk about the clouds. It's like they pick one game to hype for a few years and then move onto the next one after the first one releases just to.keep hype going over the course of the generation all while releasing games that are lacking in one area or another or just not living up to the hype or expectation
Right?! But hey, when you spend years talking about how great it will be and the power of.the clouds and whatnot, you'd better deliver on the overhype. I surely don't feel left out. Got a constantly growing backlog with a huge list of games yet to even buy. After seeing videos of Crackdown 3 running I don't see they hype of it honestly
I'm so glad that people are starting to wise up to these practices.EA has been horrible for the industry with the way they've handled games for almost 2 generations now. BF4 was my last game published by them. Ubisoft too. After Watch Dogs I gave up on them. What they've been doing with MTs and selling unfinished games or throwing MP into everything tells me they really don't know what consumers want. Or maybe they're thinking if they tell us what we want enough times that...
I feel like this is the way most games see their downfall. Trying to appeal to more while forgetting your core fans. I wonder if the survey will even make them think about the actions they've taken with games recently. Companies always claim to change direction for the best interest of the game until it backfires...
The game does look interesting. I bet it would shine on the 4K TV I finally bought.
Interesting question. I do think that in case of the Xbox people will wait and not buy "new" whereas PS customers do tend to buy games when they're new instead of waiting for a sale specifically or for the game to come "free" later on Plus or the game pass in Microsoft's case. I'm sure the bulk of PS revenue is still from games selling when released instead of in flash sales. Flash sales are still nice though but I haven't regret any games bought this gen e...
I loved FFIX. One of my favorites along with III
Interesting I will add those to my long list of future games to get
That's a good point I hadn't thought of. I just know that I've been craving JRPGs this gen. Still none like what you're talking about. Even DQXI lacks "high fantasy" although I never played the other ones so maybe they're not like that in the first place. I loved the old school fantasy RPGs over these new realism ones
@PapaBop
Sometimes options are a bad thing. Not initially, but they have a way for more to happen and the consequences can be bad. I don't want EAA either. If it were so great why does EA have such disappointing financials these days? I see it only getting worse if they keep with the subscription model honestly. It will lead to more half baked games and quick cash grabs. Shallow gameplay and all that. Could I be wrong? Sure, but we shall see
I have a lot of games I need to play but I don't think I've waiting for long before buying this. I love horror games
@supersonic
Sure it's good news but most your initial post was not true and unnecessary. Why would N or MS have a lot to learn a lot from Sony when the game is on the Xbox? So they already made the console to run the game. The fact that it sold more on PS4 doesn't mean the MS console doesn't exist. It just has far less our there. Just like if you want to see the 10 million sold. It won't be only on PS4
I think as an extra mode or bonus content "in game" this would be an awesome addition. Would definitely set them apart from dlc and MTs of other games
sounds like another step in not needing another Xbox
So all the talk and hype and hoping for a savior and delays only to use a fraction of cloud power?! OMG.... Welcome to the "we aren't satisfied with how it turned out so let's lie" stage.
The game doesn't look impressive to me either. I'd like to know how they came up with the 12 Xbox One statement. Sounds like over hype to me
How is seeing something with your eyes an opinion? That's like Trump claiming the next day he never said something many heard and been witness to, and calling it fake news
I'm really hoping to see PS5 be bc with the 4. It would make playing those games seem like upgrades too hopefully. Almost like if we were using a Pro now or possibly better. I've thought about this the entire generation because part of me was thinking of getting a Steam account since all the games will stay there and still be playable. Sony should adopt this model with their consoles going forward. I would buy a Pro to complement my 4K tv but waiting for word about the PS5. Part of me...
I'm glad they supported the systems for as long as they did as well, but I'm not expecting bigger and better current gen games with the subscription. It's supposed to be for online play and I'd rather it go for that. I have enough games to play without getting Plus games. Probably why I haven't had a sub in years
