Most of what you said has me thinking you live in a different world or something. How was the old way broken? You like paying full price for new consoles every few years? Well good news is with MS you just need a PC and you're good to go. The technical marvel of Crackdown3 doesn't make many a believer in clouds. Sure it can do things but local power will still surpass it for quite some time.
Entitlements these days..... Wow
Yeah, another damage control article about Crackdown 3. If people like it then great, but it still doesn't make the end product something to be proud of with how it was touted over the years.
@Bizarro
It's weird why people get downvotes for true statements. Paying for a service to get a game for "free" doesn't make the game free. It's perfect sense. Just like how with PS4 we get to play free to play games for FREE. People just don't li...
I can definitely see MS stat padding here with "active users" and such.
Lol oops. I know o saw multiple times that this game was supposed to be different. Can't say I'm surprised
This is why people need to start demanding full games upon release. Companies will not keep their word with support when we trust them to. Some do, but definitely not the big ones that one would expect. Games like DriveClub and the support it received are rare.
You keep helping my point thank you. Cheap mobile games are not something that I'm looking for or something I'd pay a subscription to play. There have been some that have been good, but with an idea like Game Pass you can look forward to cheap budget games more frequently. Or in this case, a game that gets touted for years as being a huge hit to be a bigger letdown. I just don't see big names on the service helping much more than smaller companies with smaller games
Game as a service is reason enough to not like it. I wouldn't side with investors in this industry either. Pleasing them over the consumer is why EA and other other companies are so hated. "You have to realise investors can not wait 10+ years and miss fiscal quarters just to get good will from a gamer", no. Companies should not be in business to please investors. Customers keep them in business
Also leads to much less than stellar games, MTs, games as a servic...
Me too. Having Cerny involved makes it very intriguing. Hopefully he can expand on the success of the PS4 with the PS5
I've got a huge backlog of PS4 games though to get through though which is why I'm hoping to hear good things about backward compatibility
Nice one
@iceman
I down voted and I'm married with a 2 year old son 🤷🏼♂️
Retarded tits and ass? Interesting. I would love to see some AO games on a Sony system. I mean, I've been an adult long enough. Mods would be nice if Sony allowed them. It would probably give more.life into games for.thosr that have moved on already
I was wondering that too actually. Dire IRS been around a long time but there have been a lot of articles about games coming out and patches lately. Honestly my bigger question is why do they all have to just be on PC? I hope that next gen we can get mods on PS.
@Anthony
If it were then that just proves my point even further. No developer is going to go full on for years into one game just to have it at half price or even free shortly after release.
I've argued a few times about prices of games and quality of the games on Game Pass along with the future of gaming if it stayed like this but it's like talking to a brick wall. Most think you are being crazy yet here is a perfect example.
Yes, another effect that Game Pass will have on the games themselves.
Think of Netflix. Started as a subscription service for movies and was great but over time those companies left to make more money and Netflix in turn created their own stuff. Sure some may like it, but that's not what the service was for initially. Now people need multiple subscriptions to access the same content. I can see this happening with games
You seem to be the one that misinformed. But like I said you will see. If you were a company making games would you rather sell millions at full price or go on GP for a flat rate? Imagine having a pool of hundreds of.games vying for GP and having to split up a pool of money from subscribers. The wallets of potential customers is much larger than the pool of fees from GP subscribers. How I see it GP is only good for smaller devs and games. The bigger studios and games would demand more money o...
Do they?
This is how I feel as well. I gave up playing MP games because of all the time needed to play them and in the end it just seemed like time wasted. With expansions it's like starting over and time flies when playing and waiting for loading screen or getting into servers (as gamers move on). I also hate pouring all the time into something just so others can buy their way in. Sure it may seem trivial, but for me it's another reason not to play. Single player games are so satisfying and f...
