Sometimes I really think these tweets to stories are lame. Of course they're finalizing the details!! Unless, they're not showing up? Geez :/
All I've heard from from MS is "we have Titanfall" "look at Titanfall" so I think this whole sales thing is perfectly suited. I'm glad the game is a "flop". In the eyes of EA, it's a flop. Everyone knows they were shooting for COD greatness. That's what EA does with everything.(or ruin games) Maybe we can get off this FPS kick now?!
Not everyone is impatient. I would argue not everyone is "advanced" either :)
"News coming all week so stay tuned! Many things going on!!"
Later in said week "The announcement you've all been waiting for! We have plans for a remaster of a game that we'll have more info on in the coming weeks! Also, keep offering us ideas on firmware updates. We are listening. Have an important one looming. Just stick around and we'll have more info soon!"
Months later: "new firmware as promised is here! Can finally ...
@jss it just tells me not to take it seriously or even read it
I agree completely. If last gen taught us anything, it's NOT to get hyped over firmware updates. If when the update comes out and it's not what you were expecting, then voice your opinion. I want to see media functions added back in so I can stream from my computer to PS4, folders, and customization options. That's all I want. So unless they add something I don't want I can be like "oh wow, thanks guys!" I just keep my expectations low
I hope the game turns out good but I'm holding off judgement until closer to release. I won't believe any PR statements from anyone until I can judge for myself, or the game gets reviewed. It's easy for people working on a game to overhype it. I already lost faith in Evil Within, I hope that Watch Dogs delivers
All companies copy each other. If not, they get left in the dust. That's just how it is. MS copies Sony and Nintendo, Target copies Walmart, Walmart copies Best Buy, Google copies Apple, all companies do it. It's not just subject to video games. I'm shocked people haven't realized this yet
All these articles saying bad things about this game. I was really hoping for a horror game but I guess this one won't be.
@random Jam?! You just reminded me of toeJAM, and Earl. That could be GOTY be it re-released!
Family Guy the quest for stuff /s
Wow I must be falling behind (busy actually), but I had no idea Gamespy was shutting down. That's too bad.... :/
I know people want to say "wait for the final product". How about "why would they put out a demo of a game they weren't sure of?" I think if there are issues and they are being brought to light then that's a good thing. We can wait all we want to but obviously a demo has a lot more to do with a final product than some people seem to think it does. So really if a demo doesn't impress then it means a lot. On the other hand, when a game is downgraded from a demo i...
Been mine since the late 90s lol
@Volkama I didn't buy the season Pass for BF. One DLC is just remade maps from BF3. Those, IMO, should be free or severely discounted. As for the other maps they tacked on BF I like a lot of them better than the ones in the original game. I guess that's where I draw the line with DLC. I like playing BF and all, but the best maps they want you to pay extra for and I don't like that. May not be getting the next game
@Lukas I feel the same about multiplayer added DLC...
I remember back in PS2 days both the GameCube and Xbox received multiple price drops while the PS2 rarely did. At the time I thought that was strange but it didn't take me long to realize Sony didn't have to drop the price. People all over the world may have been wanting a price drop but the thing sold fine without one. Seeing the same issue here with PS4. Seems like a good problem to have (people wanting a price drop and selling well without it)
@bohemian I can't speak for everyone. I'm no fan of Xbox but I come into Xbox articles all the time. It's not to troll or anything it's just to see what the "competition" is up to. You know, all big companies do it (Apple, MS, Sony, Amazon, etc). It helps drive innovation
Scary, to me, IS fun! On the other hand action, to me, is also fun. I don't NEED them both in one game for it to be fun. It's just like the movies. Throwing all these genres together to reach a broader audience. Just because things are fun separately doesn't mean they should be joined together. I wish more devs (and movie studios) would see this
Resident Evil isn't exactly survival horror anymore unless you're talking before RE5. Dead Space IMO wasn't survival horror either. It was definitely a good game, more action though than horror. I understand where you're coming from about controls with these games but if you were to ask me, they need to be made that way. Gamers need a way to feel helpless or "scared" to make these games work. If motion was fluid and we were all over the place with twitch-happy COD li...
@jessupj you and everyone else must have dreamt the same! I had some crazy dreams like "but we have Titanfall" and "have you seen Titanfall" over the past year. Those have finally ended!
OT this is why I don't fall for hype anymore. I had a ton for Watch Dogs but lost it. The best games IMO are the ones you never know much about
