Yes, those graphics back then were great. They still don't look that bad honestly. Of course things are much better now but I think they held up better than other games have. I think 5 was shit. Not as bad as 6 but still a horrible game. If you think that about 7 then I don't know what to tell you. They didn't copy PT or Outlast. You're just putting games together in a group that are alike in some way. All things created inspire the next to be created. Usually around this time in every generation someone has to start an article like this. Sure there are times one might think this time be true, but I feel like over the years I've noticed that developers and publishers both hold themselves back. It's not the hardware.
I really don't understand where these crazy comparisons are coming from. PS2 wasn't called a gaming console and it's been like that ever since. Personally I didn't like that but Sony NEVER lost track of putting games first. That's the most important thing right there. Did this opinion writer say the same about the PS3 and PS4? Not entirely true. I'd be inclined to get a Pro as I finally bought a 4K tv. I'm sure others are in the same boat. Then again, I'm also waiting for the PS5 in case it's BC. True though the lines won't be like the picture

I don't mind remasters at all. Sometimes a remake takes away from what made the game great. I also think that sometimes a remake would be better off as a completely different game. Some remakes are good though and I'm sure this one is. The first game was great. FFVII? Not so sure

If I did that with movies I'd actually enjoy the Conjuring more. This remake may not be that hard of a game to platinum. I did it for 7 and the remake of 1. Will definitely check it out

Turn based more over here. I'd like to see more games this way instead of defaulting to ARPG like they seem to be going these days. I don't mind ARPG, but the idea of having both means we need to have game that cover both as well. Turn based isn't getting nearly the same attention.

I believe we've hit a plateau of sorts as well. Most increases now will be somewhat minor in the graphics department. I'm ok with that though. Let's get some realistic AI and things like that going. I just got a 4K tv and it's amazing even with the games today how great they look even without a Pro. PS5 will be great for the 4K stuff but I don't expect any drastic leap forward
