Nice try President and CEO of ShopTo.net ;)
I don't think that's his fault really, he can be a great voice actor. In Ratchet ACIT he wasn't even recognisable as himself.
I'd say most of those games are down to the directors trying to capture the Uncharted magic.
@bobrea
Oh ok that's fine, opinion's opinion! Not entirely sure why but I was scared more by the second game. Or at least found myself more on edge, shame it didn't work for you.
I have to say I'm the complete opposite. I enjoyed the original but didn't love it, seemed quite predictable but I absolutely loved Dead Space 2 from start to finish.
Can't wait to see where they take the franchise now.
No... It doesn't mean that at all. It means if there are one hundred new IP's one or two will sell over a million.
They signed an exclusive agreement with Microsoft after they thought Sony weren't interested in it. A real shame for such a fantastic game.
To be fair it was only said on one person's personal Twitter account. They probably did get a bit over excited calling it trailer of the year though.
Really interested in seeing what it is.
I'd argue that it's not like COD yet, I think each game in the series has improved. If that continues I'll be alright with the game this year... as long as they have 2012 off. Unlikely I suppose.
@whydoyouask
I only use metacritic as an example because it shows a critical consensus. It's surely among the best sites to reference if you're talking about critical reception in general.
In this case it just shows that the game received a very high average, higher than the latest call of duty in fact.
I'm not sure I'd use KZ2 as a great example of critical backlash, it sitting at 91 on metacritic an all.
I'm psyched for Uncharted 3 because #2 was the best game of this generation and #1 wasn't far behind... basically unless something goes horribly wrong Uncharted 3 will easily be my favourite game this year.
Yeah I'd agree, it's kinda interesting that the 3DS is so similar to the first PSP in terms of visuals and even down to having a single stick. Not entirely sure why they did that after everyone bitching about it on PSP.
I have to ask though, why bother buying it twice? Surely it makes sense just to buy the best version. Buying both seems... wasteful in a year with so much to buy.
This. I can only hope there isn't an Uncharted game at launch... I have enough stuff to buy this year.
I have to admit I was hoping they'd let Killzone rest for a little bit to try out something new. Still, if Killzone 4 is another leap over 3 it's not all bad.
This is a real shame, I thought Blur was fantastic. I still play it now with friends. I've not tried Blood Stone but it looks competent enough, it's sad that a capable studio can't find the success it deserves.
LBP doesn't play badly, it plays differently. It works brilliantly for the game. Although I do sometimes wish you could pull yourself up if hanging from a platform...
I'd love to play PW on PS3, my PSP died a while ago but there are too many awesome home console games this year to bother getting a new one, especially with a PSP2 announcement round the corner.
I personally thought Brotherhood was far and away the best Assassin's Creed game. It tightened and improved every aspect of the game. Not to mention the online was actually good against all odds.
It's certainly one of my favourite games this year, and that's from someone who didn't love the first two particularly.
I partly agree. If I buy Bioshock Infinite, AC3 or ME3 for example, I'll get the PS360 versions. The NGP needs console quality games that are exclusive and made to take advantage of its features.
Uncharted NGP is a perfect example of this. A new chapter of an incredible franchise built with the NGP in mind, and it's going a long way to convincing me to pick one up.
