I agree, and it's one of the top headlines going into E3 that I want as well. Just saying there's a bunch more to be excited about as well!
No offense taken bro, and yeah, I figure MS will "feature" most of them in their keynote but we still get to play them. That's all I care about.
Plus looking at the short list I'd say I wouldn't be surprised if Arkham, Medal of Honor and Force Unleashed are shown off by Sony.
I still dont like how this is considered "DLC", but at least it adds lots of longevity. RDR is shaping up to be a serious GOTY contender. Looking forward to seeing the reviews! The 18th isn't coming quick enough
Sony has a ton of stuff to show off, both old and new. I expect:
PS Move blowout. New games, updates, hands on demo's, etc.
Games? How about GT5, SOCOM 4, Last Guardian, FF XIV/Versus, Agent, Agency, DC Universe, not including unannounced games like Jaffes new title (Twisted Metal?), *Starhawk (pending title), Resistance 3 and Killzone 3.
Oh and all the multiplats like Arkham Asylum 2, MOH, COD Black Ops, New Vegas, Force Unleashed 2, Dea...
I expected lots of 8's & 8.5's but this is a good score, and good review.
The beta was real fun, and looks like I'll have a tough decision ahead of me about whether or not I should pick up this or 3DDGH.
Ugh, I hate being broke when good games come out.
I've been holding out for the PS3 version for a long while now, but want to know how it plays?
Article also mentions DC Universe and The Agency. Looks like E3 is already shaping up to be big for MMO fans. Can't wait.
This was one of the few reasons to actually pick up MLB 2K10. The Show has been blowing it away recently, same goes for NHl 10 vs NHL2K, and hopefully 2K takes some time off (I know they are in hockey but baseball also?) and start from scratch. I used to be a huge 2K gamer until they started to drop the ball in the late 2000's.
Come to think of it they lost the NCAA BB license too I think. So maybe it's just the sports genre thats taking a beating.
...
I never knew how dependent I was of this damn site. It was the first time in ages I had to go back to 1UP and Kotaku for my news.
The new layout looks good, and it's glad to be back!
So, what's everyone been playing?
I loved Fallout 3 just as much as you all, but Oblivion is probably still my most played PS3 game to this day and I haven't played it in at least a year maybe two. It was one of those titles that came out while the PS3 library was still "shallow" along with RB6 Vegas and before Warhawk and I logged some serious hours.
There are a lot of good RPG's though that have come out the last few years...It's definitely a tough call
As the gameplay stays true to the originals I'll buy it. I'm talking simplistic. Left, Right, Jump, and down for speed. If SEGA gives me that, I'll be happy. It would be nice to play a good Sonic game. It's been too long (Sonic Adventure 1&2 via Dreamcast were the last I've actually finished)
The last paragraph for those who didn't want to spoil the first 6 hrs but see how IGN reacted like myself:
"Taking around six hours of playtime – with head down and doing our very best to avoid New Austin's many distractions, all of which will be covered in a forthcoming preview - those opening moments of John Marston's adventure are at once familiar and unique, with the tropes of past Grand Theft Auto games given fresh life by the deftly executed period trappings. But what'...
After last years Slim leak Sony's trying to keep things quiet this time around, and should have no problem since most of their keynote should focus on upcoming software and Move. Maybe the PSP2 but that would be a stretch I think.
Still, there's a whole month before E3 so I guess there's still time for something to leak.
I was always pissed I sold Killzone 2, and have been in need of a new controller. Looks like this and Red Dead Redemption will be my May purchases.
When I have a kid, if he ever talks to me or his mom like this kid did he'd be getting one hell of a whoopin. And that system would be turned off and taken away ASAP.
And I thought I used to be an ass when I was a kid playing games. Wow
I've been waiting for this a long time, but hope they saw what happened with the LOTR Blu Ray debacle. Knowing how anal Lucas is though I expect all the specs to be completely up to par.
Also like others I'd want both versions of each film, all of the special features from the extra disc in the collection in HD, and new audio commentaries would be nice but I doubt I'll get those.
One of my most anticipated games if you leave out the obvious AAA titles we're going to see (Halo Reach, GT5, etc)
Like others have said, Westerns just haven't gotten the love they deserve, and this seems like it'll really deliver. Can't wait. Might even have to change my name to Doc Holliday or Johnny Ringo.
but I can't help but think of how embarrassing it must be for these developers/TV hosts to hold that ridiculous belt. I mean, wtf is the point of it besides saying "here, hold this and look like fool so I can show people I have some say in this industry"
Does he think they'll answer the questions better with a WWE belt on their shoulder?
And as for the article, it's speculation, like any other article from HHG...Time to switch it up brother
Unless you run through areas not killing enemies you pretty much max out everything before the final boss fight
Want to know what I just found out that's even more sad? Supposedly if you import the same game from different regions you can earn multiple Platinum trophies. So for instance there would be 3-4 GOW3 Platinum's. THAT'S sad!
I know they're on PC, but I'm not one of those if it's on PC it's not exclusive guys. I game on consoles, that's all that matters to me. That and my PC blows, ha.
The first thing I, and I'm sure many other Star Wars enthusiasts thought of when we first saw PS Move in action was how we needed a Star Wars game with it asap. Hopefully LucasArts pulls it off.
And by pull it off I mean fluid, accurate motions, maybe even the ability to aim blaster shots back at enemies. That would be amazing.
Ahhh, a geek can dream!
